Petes Rubbish Removal

"Paid $450 for a roll off. Did not trust this company going in because recently they tried to charge extra beyond the usual $2 per tall kitchen bag claiming a bag was heavy (they never discount when bags are light and they charge by the bag not by weight). Since I didn’t trust Pete’s I made it a point to follow the contract they make you sign to the letter. The roll off was under filled below the top level. Nothing not allowed was disposed of. I made sure to be in compliance. Fast forward a couple weeks later and I get a bill in the mail. They charged me extra beyond the agreed upon amount which was already paid. They claim I was overweight from the one ton limit. I highly doubt my underfilled dumpster was a half ton over the included ton as Pete’s claims, but if it was it was 100% due to the rain. It rained a lot while I had the dumpster right up to the day they came and picked up the unit. Water was pouring out the back of the dumpster as they drove away with it. The things in it would have gotten very water logged and heavy as the dumpster had used carpeting and clothing in it. If Pete’s is going to charge people for water they should provide a cover for when it rains. Furthermore I was also charged $7 per tire for the 4 tires in the dumpster. There was no mention of tires in their grammatically incorrect “contract” which was closely read many times, just made up charges from a dishonest company. Update august 2023: I have been taking my trash to the Littleton transfer station since the incident described above. They are friendly and substantially more affordable with better hours and you do not need to live in Littleton since they are considered a main state hub. Plus unlike Pete’s your recycling actually gets recycled at Littleton."

"Working with Pete's was very easy when we needed to do a large yard pick up at our new home. We requested a specific delivery time and day and Pete's made it happen. I had to call to order another one, and they were able to pick up the first and deliver the second on time as well. Friendly delivery people, and timely / easy service contract. Helped point me in the right direction on some items they would not take too."

"Lady in the office has no idea what she is doing and completely unprofessional. They overcharge, and charge for pick up’s that never happen. They should just shut it down and let Timberwolf take over!"

"Had a dispute over the way in which additional charges were billed (not contesting that we owed them), the individual was unprofessional and argumentative over the phone. Do not recommend."

"My husband and I have been calling for over 3 months to get a dumpster and they keep saying they cannot get us one even though there is a house not even half a mile away from us that has one. Now they are saying they don't have enough drivers to come out here. Update: the owner replied saying we are out of the sevice area. But I don't understand how I can WALK down to my neighbors house who have a dumpster, yet we are not in the sevice area. We have talked to multiple people who each tell us something different every time we call and NO ONE has told us we are out of the service area. In fact the last time we called they said we would be put on the waiting list and that we should have been on the waiting list in the first place. We have been calling for 6 months now. I would understand if we were way out if the service area but when a neighbor who is not even half a mile away has a dumpster that is just ridiculous. I'm not trying to hate on small businesses, we run a business too. But this is absurd. And no way to run a business in my opinion. We want to give you our business!"
