"This is our 2nd year in a row staying at Blue Lagoon Resort. This is the best accommodation we have ever had in Lake George. The customer service is superior since every phone call is answered or returned at all times. I left something valuable in a cabin and they were even kind enough to ship it back to my home address right away! This is a hidden gem in a perfect location on the water, kid friendly and very convenient location close to everything. Amazing memories that can be made with your family. We plan on being there every year moving forward! Our kids love it!"
"This is our 8th year coming and definitely won'tbe our last. Beautiful grounds, clean, lots of grills and kayaks to borrow. Run by an amazing family. Right on the lake ,10 min drive to town."
"I'm not the type to leave a negative review, but after my experience at the Blue Lagoon, I felt it necessary.. If you enjoy "cozy" these cottages are for you, not much bigger than a shed, it gets very cramped with a few people staying.. I tried taking a shower but the water never warmed up enough to actually take a shower, and barely any water pressure.. Luckily, Lake George was warmer than usual, so I made do with swimming to wash. There is WiFi, but it is pretty much useless it's so slow. Be sure to bring towels, our cottage did not have any when we got there and they didn't seem very happy when we asked for a couple, asking "why we didn't bring our own towels". The weekend we stayed, it was in the 90's, no problem, they have AC! Well, it was so old and loud that I couldn't even sleep with it on. It was pretty obvious the blankets & sheets hadn't been changed from the previous tenants, because they had smelled like sweat and had stains from what looked like the previous tenant eating on it , leaving behind some salsa or something down the front of my bed. Be very careful pulling in, because the gravel road has massive potholes throughout the entrance. They do have a very small boat ramp, very difficult to back down with all of the obstscles placed in that area, by far the smallest sketchiest ramp I have ever used and extremely slippery, the broken concrete is dangerous to walk on, so be careful if you're brave enough to attempt using it. (Million Dollar beach across from Blue Lagoon has a superior boat launch) It rained one night during our stay and nearly washed away our coolers and fishing gear right into Lake George because of lack of sufficient drainage, there was a foot of water surrounding our cabin, as you can see in my pics. Due to a worker parking their trailer full of wood beams, we had to pull alongside the grass, as several other cars had also parked, which then the owners complained about, even tho there are no no parking signs, other cars park on the grass every year and was even car parked on the grass before we even parked there due to the trailer blocking our parking. They used to leave sufficient firewood to have good campfires into the nights, now they leave just enough wood to make a small fire for maybe 2-3 hours. The ground is very uneven throughout the property, so you have to bevery careful walking around without running the risk of straining an ankle. The bugs are horrific , so be sure to bring extra bug spray. One night there was a group of teenagers and adults partying until 3 a.m., playing music and being loud, within 50 feet of our cabin and the staff is rude. The only positive thing the Blue Lagoon has going is it is on Lake George, just like several other places you can stay, which I would recommend staying at any other place ."
"We had the best experience here and will definitely return. The owners are the nicest most helpful people and their resorts are clean and beautiful! Close to everything I wanted to do as well!"
