"As a family of 5 siblings and their spouses visiting every year in September we were looking forward to another visit. With COVID 19 of course we decided to cancel 4 months in advance. My thought was re rent the rooms first and then keep my deposit for next year. The owner wanted no part of that and initially wanted to keep the entire deposit without any credit. With the rest of the world regularly granting refunds no matter what their policies are because of the pandemic, this owner decided to stick to the book. He then (after becoming agitated) agreed to give us half our deposit back and stole $340 from us. My hope is he's happy losing 5 customers every year."

"Execellent location near Bolton landing. Located in huddle bay, with excellent dock space and views. Red gate has a great feel, and has numerous rental options. Grounds and building are taken well care of and welcoming. Multiple years if staying and will return for years to come ."

"My husband and I stayed here on short notice for a couple nights. The owner was friendly, offering free wood for fires, a row boat during the day, and he was on the grounds if we ever needed anything. The cottage we stayed in was immaculate. It was quaint and quiet and peaceful. Although we were there during the off season, the area is definitely a summer tourist town with lots of restaurants and things to do. I would strongly recommend staying here, and I hope to go back again!"
