"Since I was new residence of Vermont, I had to try get ahold of someone who can help me with replacing a card, but I had to be on hold for about 2 hours, which is long enough for me to be out of being happy of customer satisfaction. I’m thinking of planning to change to a better and more of waiting less time of health insurance to actually answer when I want it."
"I received a survey about BCBS blue rx ... wanting my opinion. Their survey questions were repetitive and did not meet the criteria of their survey. Nonetheless, I gave them some of my thoughts and I wished to explain the circumstances of my inquiry with BCBS. While Vermont Health connect handled my situation vety poorly, BCBS solved my issue quickly. Yet, the person asking me about my opinions hung up on me ...."
"During the 11 months I had the misfortune of being insured by BCBS of VT I was employed part time and our household income was very tight. While we opted to pick the most affordable plan we could get without an astronomical deductible, the $2,500/year/person deductible was still a burden on our family (and forget the annual max-out-of-pocket) to the point that we both avoided seeking necessary healthcare that was not considered "preventative" care. A simple 20 minute trip to the ER to receive 3 stitches to a gaping wound in order to avoid infection and stop bleeding cost me almost $500. Forget affordable, accessible healthcare from BCBS VT. Late this year I updated our household income (I was no longer working), and LOST our subsidy entirely (thanks Vermont Health Connect!) This made our already sub-par plan absolutely not feasible for our household. Our monthly premium went from less than $150/month for 2 people to more than $1,600/month for ONE person with a $3,200 annual deducible. That is insane, especially considering our household income is less than $45,000/year. BCBS is not out to provide citizens of VT with good access to care, they are out to line their pockets."
"Poor health coverage even with a "higher level" plan, inefficient customer service too. Although, in all fairness, BCBS coverage for routine preventive care isn't totally terrible, their coverage for major issues leaves much to be desired. This all promises a choice between heavy medical indebtedness and voluntary neglect of my personal health care in the near future. Given these circumstances, I am preparing for an early death. Not that BCBS cares; as far as I can tell, they have no conscience. I wish I was a citizen of one of the many countries with effective healthcare policies. For-profit health care should be legally banned!"
"This company isn't about healthcare. This is pure health neglect. Worst customer service ever. These people are disconnected from reality & real people. Prepare to sit on the phone all day whenever you need customer service. You'll be put on hold & transfered from rep to rep each one claiming conflicting information with zero resolution. You'll constantly be referred to their absurdly antiquated and confusing website. If you ask to meet in person for customer support prepare for shrieks of horror & hesitantly be told their extremely limited hours on one measly day of the week. They all STILL work remotely & seemingly barely work at all, at least not for their hard working customers best interest. BCBS will gladly charge you high premiums for high deductible plans only to constantly deny care & service. With this company prepare to be ignored by an ignorant shameful uncaring team."
