"It's a boat ramp. The only downside I found is if you're fishing from shore the boats and whatnot disrupt the water and the fishing."

"Right in the heart of Concord is this boat launch. It has a decent sized parking area and a very nice streach of river to Kayak on from here."

"If you just dropping boats to go fishing it's a fine ramp. What's nice about this area are the habitats located just upriver on the west side. During times of high water you can kayak through the woods, a very exciting time just be aware of the current going through you don't want to get pinned between two trees. Across the river from the ramp you enter an area of hidden pools and back water areas that are great for bird watching. If you follow that around you come to the entrance to the marsh of the flood Plains owned by the society for the protection of New Hampshire forests. This is always an excellent place to explore either from water or along the trails accessed I'm Portsmouth Street in East Concord."
