"In short: incredibly talented florist, but a terrible business person. Full review: We first met Brenda in July 2022. We’d been wanting to visit her shop for some time, being local and having a cute & appealing look. Our first interaction with her was nothing but positive. She was welcoming, informative, and even gave us a complimentary bouquet for being new in town. When it was time to pick a wedding florist, we figured we’d give a local business a shot despite some negative reviews. Brenda was a little more laid back with her approach compared to other wedding vendors, but figured she was old school. We gave her a deposit and she had hand-written the items/pricing. She emailed our list of items to us in October 2022 and then we followed up in March of 2023 to check in on next steps and add/remove some items. She couldn’t remember if they were delivering/setting up and said we didn’t have to follow up until July 2023, which felt late given our wedding was in late September 2023. When we asked about updated pricing, she said the total would be around the same because “prices of flowers have increased,” but never gave any sort of specifics. We followed up in July with a phone call and she said we didn’t have to meet until late August or early September. We pushed to meet in early August and discussed our final list. The set up & delivery fee had somehow increased. Her reasoning was that because we removed items and didn’t hit a certain threshold (which was unspecified), it would need to go up. This was never disclosed at any point, as she indicated delivery was $200 from the first time we met. She thankfully agreed to keep it at $200. She followed up with a phone call after to review all the items & prices; she expected me to write down all items & prices and was befuddled when asked her (the business owner) to keep track of our items. She reluctantly sent an email with the list of items & pricing and expected us to pay off our balance two days later on the upcoming Monday, despite no prior clear timeline on when payments were due. We met with her the week before the wedding to view the mock bouquet and I will say it was gorgeous. Again, she is incredibly talented and was able to bring our vision to life with some absolutely beautiful flowers and design. However, on the day of the wedding, she forgot two flower girl crowns and all the centerpieces for cocktail hour. So despite all my efforts and emails to have a clear list for the wedding, she still missed some items. Following the wedding and honeymoon, our wedding coordinator reached out to have her reimburse us for the missing items. Brenda said we were only owed for the crowns because we removed the centerpieces. For the record, we changed centerpieces from larger dinner ones to smaller cocktail hour bouquets. She was mixing up different receipts and lists. I had to go to the shop and share her own email and my bank statements to validate her screw up. Her response was “I’ve never been haggled for money. I actually lost money on your wedding.” Thankfully she wrote me a check for what we were owed. As I said before, Brenda is very talented at what she does. If you want a single bouquet or something small, I think going with her would be just fine. But otherwise, Brenda is completely unorganized, lacks empathy, doesn’t take responsibility, and will jump through hoops to blame the customer for her shortcomings as a business owner. We had no stress from any vendor on our special day except from Brenda. I would caution any couples considering Fleur du Jour for their wedding."

"Fleur du Jour is the first floral shop that reminds me of a shop my close friend owned. I had grown spoiled by the unique and artistic arrangements produced by my girlfriend and always struggled to find similar at other shops. I recently received an arrangement from Fleur du Jour and my first thought was “this is it!”. The arrangement was a beautiful array of different flowers, varying colors and even included mint, all presented in a wooden “window box”. It was stunning! I loved it so much that a week later, I sent the same arrangement to a bereaved friend. When I called to place my order, they were so helpful and asked to see a picture of my arrangement so they could be sure to reproduce it as I wanted. They are my new “go-to” flower shop!"

"I just hosted a wedding shower for my future daughter-in-law. In the 30 years that I have known Brenda she has never disappointed. She did my wedding 30 years ago and people still talk about how gorgeous the flowers were!! Now 30 years later, she is it going to make my sons wedding just as beautiful! Brenda’s attention to detail in her work is unsurpassed! She creates most amazing floral arrangements that are truly artwork!
