"Wanna point out a couple things- first reading the current reviews, of which many surround the supposed (and now thoroughly debunked) "lynching" and folks lasting out at the PD for it, NOT ONE of those idiots made any attempt to correct or delete their false reviews. That's what happens when your decisions and opinions are based solely on emotion and not fact. Aside from that I see them doing their jobs. I was pulled over just yesterday morning for speeding. Admittedly I was in a conversation, empty roads and wasn't paying attention. Officer made the experience as painless and fast as possible. See the trick is to be courteous and COMPLY with any commands or requests. If anything is amiss you can turn it over or even sue in court later. That said I also see some lacking enforcement. Also yesterday when we went to Walmart, as I was looking for a ha dicap spot I noticed a vehicle (happened to have out of state tags- FAR out of state) intentionally double parked in such spaces and right across the road in front of the store was an officer doing what I presume to be paperwork. I brought it up and then went on my way hoping he did his job. The problem is they are over worked, under staffed and generally not given the support needed for them to effectively do their jobs and that goes for pretty much every PD in the country so many have pulled back only dealing with what they have to so they can avoid the woke mob, the racist groups that see everything themselves through a racist lens, the empty suit politicians that refuse to stand behind their officers. That thin blue line is really what stands between civil society and total chaos. The proof is out there for all to see in pretty much every major city in the country that defunded and vilified police who now are able to do less than the bare minimum. The woke mob allowing criminals to commit crimes and get out immediately to do it again etc etc. THAT is what happens when that line isn't held and supported. I am a constitutionally abiding citizen and any law or order that contradicts that is not valid HOWEVER fighting with the cops about it won't do any good that needs to be handled in court."
"This is an outrage that the people sworn to protect and serve this young man are instead protecting the criminals who tried to murder him. Mark Chase you need to resign. This was a clear hate crime with no other intention but to end this child's life because of the color of his skin. He will be forever scarred physically and emotionally by this. Shame on this police department for not standing for him and the law!"
"I want justice, and that means releasing the names of these TEENAGERS whom sought to murder an 8yr old boy. Children younger than a teenager are fully capable of understanding physical harm and death. Do the right thing, Police Chief Mark Chase, resign. Save yourself whatever shred of dignity you have left. You choose to hide the names of attempted murders! How is this "Protecting and Serving"?? OH! Did you think that oath was for criminals??"
"I am disappointed in how you guys handled the attempted lynching of Cassandra Merlin's 8 year old bi-racial son. The chief police released a statement that the teenagers that attempted the lynching should be protected. THESE TEENAGERS, were yelling racial epithets and slurs at the bi-racial 8 year old before they attempted murder. They clearly knew what they were doing, and the police responded by trying to protect the teenagers, saying that mistakes in their youth shouldn't follow them the rest of their lives. I tried calling and talking to the police station to calmly talk about the situation, and they were not very cooperative, hanging up on me mid sentence or sending me to the voice mail of the chief police. The conduct of this police station is disturbing, and the community should not tolerate their behavior."
"Mark chase needs to be fired from the police department IMMEDIATELY! I don't think anyone would feel safe after the disgusting remarks he made about a 8 year old bi racial boy being hung by teens!! Absolutely a disgusting human being that isn't fit in our society."
