"I usually refrain from a review like this but I have exhausted my inquiries with Edmund & Wheeler. I hired them to help with a 1031 exchange as an advisor and intermediary to repurchase and protect gains in a commercial property. It was my first exchange and unfortunately they did not inform me I needed to replace my debt with the same or more debt. Since I had a partner on the property we had to do quick claim deeds and other work at an expense to try to do the 1031 successfully. I sold the property and purchased a property on my list of identified properties. The funds were transferred but incorrectly at closing, had to be fixed, and then unfortunately the property I purchased did not protect my tax liability, none of it. I ended up with a large tax bill and now own a property I would not have purchased otherwise. When I realized the error I reached out and the person, Chris, who was my contact never responded. I got a message from someone else and had a phone call with a person named John. He tried to put the ownership back on me but did say he would refund my fees charged from Edmund & Wheeler. This refund never came and he does not return my emails. I would suggest looking at other options when it comes to a 1031 exchange company, it's unfortunately because they came suggested from my attorney."
