"Home Intervention, or HI, is a part of Washington County Mental Health. It is a place where someone who is in a state of crisis Mentally or Emotionally. An alternative to the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, it is a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere than one would experience in the Inpatient Unit. Patients are, however, still under careful supervision, but it is designed to be for those who are in a state of crisis, but not as much of a danger to themselves or others and thus requiring slightly less supervision than someone in the hospital. I spent about a week and a half there and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very professional and very helpful. They were also pleasant and truly friendly, not just "nice" because they are supposed to be. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is having a difficult time, as everyone does at some points in their lives."
