Reviews
"Fabulous chamber music concert in a great venue."
"Amazing and prestigious chamber festival. Great programming!"
"I have been attending Yellow Barn every summer for many years. It is a splendid venue. The music is of the highest caliber. The musicians are superb. The programming is a very stimulating and interesting mix of new and old music. Every summer there is a resident composer and his or her works are featured. It is a privilege to be in a small intimate hall so close to the young musicians and faculty members as they play and to speak with them at intermission and after the performances. And Putney is the icing on the cake, a lovely gem of a town warmly hosting this extraordinary summer festival."
"A very special place to hear wonderful chamber musicians playing a diverse range of pieces."
"The program we heard was a mixed bag. The performance of Brahms waltzes on piano with four hands was gorgeous, on the other hand they did a Ravel piece that was like listening to the screams from a medeval torture chamber. The Schumann and Mahler pieces were first rate, but then there was this rediculous modern piece which consisted of the single performer scratching on a hand drim."
