Kingdom County Productions
About the Business
Kingdom County Productions, located at 949 Somers Road in Barnet, Vermont, is not your average electronics or home goods store. For over 25 years, we have been producing award-winning feature films and documentaries, live performances with renowned artists, and innovative learning experiences in filmmaking, theater, and writing. Our latest film, created through Cinema Sarah Lawrence, is a captivating adaptation of Jack London's novel exploring themes of love and social class.
In addition to our films, we offer original musicals based on the lives of Vermont teens and thought-provoking projects like our film noir featuring genetically modified human prototypes on the loose. Our hands-on feature filmmaking intensive, in collaboration with Northern Vermont University and various colleges, provides students with a unique opportunity to learn from industry professionals like director Jay Craven.
Jay Craven also oversees the Semester Cinema program, where students from multiple colleges work with mentors to create a narrative feature film for national release. Bess O'Brien, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, focuses on social issues such as addiction, domestic violence, and bullying in her work. Our films are widely screened and used in educational settings to promote awareness and dialogue for change.
Whether you want to purchase a DVD, stream our films online, or book a public screening with a director's Q&A, there are plenty of ways to experience Kingdom County Productions. We also collaborate with Catamount Arts to bring world-class performing arts series to our community. Join us for upcoming shows and events, and don't miss out on our transformative writing workshops and public readings. Kingdom County Productions is a hub for creativity, education, and social change.
