"I am giving this business 1 star because -10 is not available. HP Roofing is the worst company we have ever done business with. We hired them to replace both a shingle roof and flat roof on our home.Upon completion of the roof, which we had not been present for, someone sent us a picture of it. We had many conversations with Jeff Acker, the owner of HP Roofing, about the color and what we wanted. We never requested a WHITE roof where a BLACK roof has once been. We were shocked when we saw this. Jeff's defense is "we changed our mind and did not like the color". Right. Changed our minds. That must mean that we CHOSE an ugly dirty white roof for a house with dark brown wooden siding and dark grey shingles. It seems like Jeff could be a little more creative with his excuses than that. He clearly does not know I have a degree in interior design. Jeff Acker really could never tell of why HE decided a white roof which is visible from the top story of the house, would be a good idea. He fought with us about replacing it, only offering to "split the cost" with us. This went on for months, and we finally hired a reputable company to replace the white material and, when doing so, found that the roof was already leaking less than a year later. We paid Jeff Acker over 60k for this work. Now that we have gotten an attorney involved, his offer to settle this is $5k. I'd laugh if this were not such a pathetic situation.Jeff's blatant attitude and disregard for his customers who hired him in good faith and seemingly the law continues. His response to our attorney who is only asking for the $14,500 we had to pay to have the roof replaced? Jeff's response: "You and I both know that if you prevail in court somehow (and that's a big IF), you'll never recover your costs. And, I'll most likely have no costs - depending on what you allege in your suit, I'll either represent myself or get my insurance company involved. " Edit: grey roofing material? Hum. Jeff, we DID NOT KNOW the roof was leaking until we hired another contractor to replace the roof because your offer was that you would give us $5000. or split the cost of replacing your14.5K roof."

"I manage properties for a living. I have used HP Roofing 3 times. I highly recommend them. Great communication, great prices, great people who work for the company. 1.)The first time the owner came out to have a look at an old large house with a leak. He happened to be in the area and stopped by. He took me out back and showed me from a distance the dip in the roof, and taught me a thing or 2, for FREE. Right then and there I knew this was a great owner and wonderful business owner. 2.) The second time I called left a message with the secretary and the next day received phone call back. Within a week I had the pleasure of meeting Gordie the estimator. He was very professional and had the quote within the week on the day he said he would have it. The crew was delayed, but it was not any issue for us. Delays can occur due to weather, which was the case for us, not a big deal at all. Clean up was perfect and the new roof is the talk of the neighborhood! 3.) I have called them and received a fast timeline like my experience before, and the quote was done and delivered on time. I am waiting for the green light from my client and I’m sure they will get the job done like they have in the past!"
