"Ryan has been great to us. We have a living room with a high cathedral ceiling with windows in the end wall that are 15 to 18 feet up in the air. We approached Ryan in the spring about getting battery operated, solar charged, remote controlled shades. He showed us what was available and helped us pick out the fabic. There was work that needed to be done to the trim of the windows prior to installation so we asked him for a quote and what to do to hold the price. He told us a 50% deposit would secure the deal for all of this year. The trim work was finally done so we reached out to Ryan, confirmed the fabric choice and told him it was a go. He just came out and installed them and they work great. He told us that his oldest solar installation was 8 years ago and they are still working. We could not be happier. You can not go wrong using Vermont Shade and Blind with Ryan."

"Three years ago they sold me $5,300.00 worth of motorized skylight shades. I bought these instead of the manual type because they said “we offer a battery service, either once or twice a year”. Being old and fat, I said “great” as long as I am not 15’ up on a ladder with a fist full of AA batteries. Now it’s service time. Over the past two months I have called four times and emailed once. If you can’t do it, say so. Don’t ghost your existing customers! I would not recommend them. Sad too, I support local small businesses, just not this one."

First of all, Ryan initially got back to me within two days of my first email/phone call and one of those days was a Sunday! Then he communicated with me promptly and efficiently as we arranged for my service. He worked around my schedule, arrived on time and did outstanding work, even making a money saving suggestion for another repair!
