Reviews
"They handled everything really well. The prices were reasonable. Quality of the dry cleaning job was excellent."
"I needed a suit dry-cleaned the same day for an event. The dry cleaning machine was down, but the employee, Lisa, offered to stay late to ensure that I could pick up my suit in time for my event. Great service here! I'll definitely be back!"
"I'm new to the area, I wear suits for work, and having a dependable dry cleaner is a necessity. I have yet to contact Phil's directly, but I did want to provide feedback to potential customers in regards to my experiences. Apparently, this is the only dry cleaner in Plattsburgh, which I find unusual. It takes a week between drop-off and pick-up. In a COVID world, that can be expected, but, in my experience, that's a really long turn around time. Being from an area that had many dry cleaners to choose from, including those providing 1 hour services, I figured (for now) it's worth the wait, as long as the quality is acceptable. Each pick-up has been a disappointment. It's nice of them to bring your order out to your vehicle, but that does not make up for the actual services that you paid for being sub-par. I had to iron suit pants and jackets that were returned to me wrinkled, as well as 2-3 dress shirts (about 1/2 of the total order). I tried them again, with a smaller order, just to see if the 1st time's issues were a fluke. Same results, and a (food) stain on the front of a dress shirt (from 2 days prior to drop off) was not removed, and easily visible on the front of the garment. This is also the only dry cleaner that I have ever experienced that has you pay at drop-off. I'm 50, and have had suits dry cleaned for over 25 years in 12 states. I have little choice but to consider either driving to Vermont for dry cleaning (the reviews don't look great over there, either)... or pay to have my suits shipped back and forth to my old dry cleaner. Any feedback about possible alternatives in the area are encouraged. Thanks, and be well."
"Had to drive 50 miles to get to the nearest dry cleaner after one closer to home burned down/closed. The woman at the front desk at Phil's was welcoming and kind -friendly and nice - and I couldn't be happier with the service. I will definitely return with the pile of jackets/coats that I have been "airing out" for a few months!"
