"Nice place to stay for a night on our trip to the coast. Gorgeous area. Room was very clean and comfortable. A little dated but it's an older house. Friendly owners that were very accommodating. Excellent home cooked breakfast. French toast bacon and eggs, coffee and juice. Really nice hidden property in the mountains. Location is 5* if you like hidden away."

"This was such a wonderful stay! My sister and I grew up in Vermont and have since moved to Georgia, but wanted to visit for a long time. We were close enough to Woodstock to make an easy trip. The gentleman was so personable and talked with us for a good bit. The bed was comfortable and I was so grateful to have such a good experience on our first day back in Vermont. "This review is long overdue but I had a photo reminder on my phone and remembered how wonderful it was. Mike and Barbara are fantastic hosts with a warm and welcoming reception, plus Mike does the best breakfast in America. We visited in the Winter season of 2022 and although the skiing resort of Killington is smaller compared to what we have in Europe, it is very charming and easy to navigate. The retreat itself is tucked away in a beautiful valley with wonderful views, and even some chirpy visiting birds. There are some great driving routes from New York so worth researching as well. Thank you Mike and Barbara!"
