"I dressed my Ledgewood Farm red leaf salad last night with, among other goodies, Ledgewood's cherry just in cherry tomatoes. Fabulous little fruits! Deliciously sweet and politely acidic. A perfect match for the farm's tender red leaf, so richly colored and fully developed, it's a crime to pull it apart. Just kidding. Ledgewood's stands in the village and on Route 171 near the Castle are Moultonborough treasures. Waiting for them to open is why we endure harsh winters. Yum scrum! If you live within five miles of the Castle, take the time to visit. Kale and lettuces (red and green leaved) are $2 a pop. Strawberries and cherry tomatoes are $4 per pint. They grow some of the best egg plants in the region. I can't wait for the rest of the good stuff to arrive. My Spirooli veggie pasta cutter is at the ready."
