"My husband took a flying lesson today. His teacher- Doug Gale was very informative and skillful. He clearly explained the flying process and made it very easy. With Doug’s guidance and supervision, my husband was able to take off the plane and glide it over the area for the time of the lesson . Additionally, the weather was perfect, so the flying was even more enjoyable. Flying with Doug as the instructor felt smooth and fun. Through the flight, Doug continued explaining the process of piloting the plane. The plane climbed up to 3000 feet- the views were amazing . In the distance we saw the Mountain Washington Mountain Wachusett. Thank You Doug. You are an inspiration and phenomenal instructor."
"I had a great experience with Equus Flight Academy, very friendly and very professional stuff. Great instructor that provided useful information and I has a great and fun experience learning the preflight check, taxiing an airplane, communicating with the Nashua Tower, taking of and learning the basics of controlling and landing the airplane. Learned a lot during just one lesson! Very happy with Equus, highly recommend!"
"With this business under new management and ownership, they have been outstanding! Joe, Jim, Kent, and everyone else at Equus are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are willing to assist with any needs that you have and guide you appropriately. See them for all your needs!"
"Discovery flight was rescheduled 8 times for “weather related issues, higher priority students, not enough aircraft”. Last straw was when I received a phone call to reschedule due to weather on a clear day. Later told it was actually rescheduled due to maintenance. Was given the run around by Operations Manager Kieth who also told me they are having trouble maintaining a proper fleet after being merged. Would avoid at all costs."
"I had mostly positive experiences with Air Direct up until this past weekend. My instructor had to cancel our lesson the week before due to flights being grounded for the Trump rally, but he said he would put me on the schedule for the following Sunday at the same time. When I was on my way in to my lesson the following Sunday, I noticed my calendar hadn't alerted me for my flight, so I looked, and the flight wasn't there. I texted the instructor to confirm the lesson, and the response I got was. "I see. Looks like an oversight on my part. Unfortunately, I have another commitment at that time". Basically, he just forgot to put me on the schedule, and then filled that slot with another student. OK, I can understand that an indivual instructor might have forgotten and had something else going on. So I call the office and advise of the situation, and ask of there is anyone else available for a lesson. Response: "No, we're all booked up today". That's it. No apology, no attempt to make it right. So between the instructor and the office staff themselves, there was no desire to rectify the situation, no consideration for my time (which I pay good money for) what so ever. Basically just a 'too bad, so sad' attitude all around. I didn't want to waste a trip to the airport, so I went and signed up with another nearby school to ensure that I have future options available to me. Kinda sad considering the amount of money a person pays for flight instruction."
