"Was there mid-August for my mother's funeral (this is the same church, St. Paul's, my parents were married in 63 years ago). My mother hated when people were upset so we always laughed. During the Latin mass (that none of us understood), my adult daughter and I were talking quietly and laughing just as quietly about memories of mom to make sure there were no tears. The priest called us out to stop talking in the middle of the mass. Very rude since this is our coping skill and how our relative would have wanted it. We continued as we were. Also, he will not give communion to anyone who has not been to confession in a year. My conversation is always with God so what right does he have to refuse?"
