"Customer beware, you may not be able to get your money back from TD Bank. I have a Roth IRA Certificate of Deposit that is due and the bank will not let me transfer the funds to another financial institution. They will not issue a physical check for reasons of a transfer without taking out the penalties & due taxes (even though under federal IRA regulations you are allowed 60 days to move money from one financial institution to another without penalties and taxes). They will only transfer funds online. However, the Certificate of Deposit is not visible online, thus no access to the account to transfer it. Essentially TD Bank is holding my money until I turn 59 1/2 and can withdrawal without penalty. It's time to reach out the the State of New Hampshire Banking Department and find myself a lawyer."
