"Outstanding Establishment I called Newport MMA to inquire about their Jiu Jitsu classes, and Dan (the owner) picked up the phone and was so super nice and answered every single question with a very clam and positive demeanor. He made me feel welcomed right away and kept offering me his help and his support to try their beginner’s class whenever I wanted. He’s definitely a rock start. When I went over the following week, I saw Dan helping everyone on and off the mat. I immediately recognized him because he looks a lot like Joe Rogan who is one of my idols. Again, in person, he was as nice, respectful and genuine as he was over the phone. I arrived about 20 minutes earlier and I got to watch some of the kid’s class. Kurt was the instructor and he was amazingly supportive and encouraging with those kids who were having a blast while learning self-defense. Kurt is one of those guys you wish was your older brother. Luckily for me, he was also the instructor of the beginner’s class. He was equally awesome, very knowledgeable and super welcoming and friendly. He made me feel welcomed and taken care of on the mat giving the fact, I haven’t had done any martial arts for almost 30 years (I have 6 years of judo under my belt). Newport MMA is well worth it just for Dan and Kurt alone. But wait, there’s more… The place is brand new (as they opened in May of 2022), and everything looks amazing. They have done an excellent job designing the place where every inch is well thought out and effectively used. I can’t speak highly enough of their gym; you just have to stop by and see it for yourself. Newport MMA is based on a group of great people with a winning mentality ready to make their members succeed with their goals. I wish them tremendous success for the years to come. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!"

"Newport MMA is full of happy welcoming faces, they are here to support the community. Their ability to make kids open up, feel comfortable with themselves during their courses is amazing. My son who has trouble regulating his emotions has been participating in the kids wrestling and jui jitsu classes and at home we have seen a huge change I'm his behavior when he gets upset, our fighter who also has diagnosed mental health things does the same classes and she's been able to focus, be determined and build everlasting friendships at the gym. Another huge bonus to having them in town is they really are not expensive and they provide kids a safe place to be in town along with limiting their screen time"
