Reviews of Autumn Oak Vizslas
"I bought this puppy through a former employer, who fired me because I hung out with the foreman who come to find out she is obsessed with. My puppy had gi problems but was the sweetest little girl id meet in a long time. She came every where with my until one day my fired got pulled over an when the police officer asked where I got the dog from I told her an then boom my dog I'd stolen. Mary states my dog was chip but was not. The police took my dog an I haven't seen her since. My god father is a police k9 unit an he can not find any police report or anything stating the dog was missing or had any issues. Mary states he resold my dog. This is a puppy mill to the fullest an I have plenty of videos an pictures. She also sells, great berniese mtn dog, French bulldogs an another type that is similar to the vizsla because the vizsla she sell are not pure bred, there is also labs ² different colors an poodle cross breeds."
"I was duped! I thought I was purchasing a dog from Joan Bevers of Barre, MA (Shady Brook Brittany) but instead my dog came from Mary Corbett (Autumn Oak Vizslas). Clearly this is how Mary works around the terrible reputation she has built up over the years. The two are apparently related. My dog came with incorrect registration papers ( I was promised that they would follow but they never did) and I am struggling to register him as a result. In addition the promised 30 day pet insurance that was to come with the puppy also turned out to be bogus. Repeated emails and phone calls from me to try and resolve these problems were ignored. It has also come to light that my dog's father is also his grandfather! All in all this has been a terrible experience. I thought I was avoiding purchasing a puppy from a bad breeder but it turns out that was not the case at all. If I had known then what I know now I would never have purchased a puppy from either Joan Bevers or Mary Corbett. If you are thinking about purchasing a puppy from either please think again, do not give your money to people only interested in money and not the welfare of the dogs and puppies in their charge."
"I wish I could give zero stars. THIS IS A PUPPY MILL - do not buy from her. When I went to get my vizsla there were multiple dogs in crates stacked on one another, various litters throughout her house, and in the garage. The entire place smelled and was dirty. My puppy came home with giardia, as do most if not all, of her puppies. There were also weimeraners and Bernese mountain dogs on the property, also in crates. One Weimaraner puppy clearly had an eye infection, was in pain, and potentially blind. When we asked about the puppy (multiple times) we couldn’t get an answer and I hate to think of this poor puppy’s eventual fate. I felt awful for every animal there and for giving her money. I travelled from Rhode Island and if I could have I would’ve taken them all. My V is now 6 years old and luckily didn’t have as many health or behavioral complications as others did but I would NOT recommend buying from her. Do yourself a favor and do not even entertain the idea of buying from her or visiting. She is not AKC though she claims to be and you will never get the “papers” she promises you. Vet records are falsified and she is cross breeding vizslas with weimeraners which is not AKC as she claims. There is no research of this “breed” or a known temperament so you have no idea what you’re getting. A teenager died on her property due to her own negligence with her “barn”. She has absolutely no sense of ethics and is simply looking to make money. She has changed her business name multiple times to avoid negative reviews and fines from various authorities. Do your research, check social media, it’s out there. Stay far away and do not support her. Autumn Oak aka Corbett Creek operating out of Vermont and/or NH - Mary Corbett is her name."
"If it was possible I would give this place a rating of zero. I highly recommend not getting a dog from this woman. IT IS A PUPPY MILL. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WOMAN. Her name is Mary Corbett. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Yesterday my boyfriend and I took a visit to her establishment to look at a Visla puppy that is seven months old. First off. She had way to many dogs and is not a commercial breeder. Outside she has two kennels stuffed with dogs. Inside there was a room with crates stacked on top of each other full of dogs, Had to be at least eight crates in there. Beautiful dogs too. On top of that another area with about 25 puppies. It smelled so bad and the poor dogs were clearly starved for attention. There did not appear to be any one there helping her with the dogs. The dog we ended up taking home is supposedly named Finn and supposedly house trained. I work a lot in the summer so if I was going to get a dog now it is important to already be trained. I currently own a nine month old Frenchie. Even with all of the signs we took Finn home. This poor dog had clearly never been in a car before, he threw up twice on the hour ride home. It also became very apparent this dog had never walked on a leash before or on cement. He was so nervous. As soon as we got in the house we gave him a bath because he smelt so bad. :(((( It also became very clear that this dog did not have a name! Everything she told us was a lie. Even the dogs paperwork was sketchy! After doing some research on her I found that she used to breed in NH but got fined by OSHA and had to do jail time for the death of a teenager on her property! She clearly didn’t learn her lesson. Instead she moved to Vermont and change the name of her business. Unfortunately we returned the dog this morning. It was heartbreaking to send him back there. Even more heartbreaking thinking about all the dogs there. THIS WOMAN NEEDS TO BE SHUTDOWN. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS WOMAN BEFORE YOU BUY FROM HER. WHAT SHE IS DOING IS WRONG. I honestly would’ve kept the dog if I had more time to train him just so he wouldn’t have to go back there."
"We got a healthy, beautiful and playful little puppy from Autumn Oak Kennel! She is such a joy in our lives and we loved working with Mary and her team. She is a true dog lover and takes great care of her dogs. We are actually in the process of getting a second vizsla from her and can't wait to expand our family. I would highly recommend Autumn Oak!"
