"I was recommended to see Doc by the Veterans Hospital. He sees veterans, at no charge to the vet, as a way to give back for not being drafted, for which I am very grateful. I am an OIF/OEF vet, which are not Vietnam operations. Doctor Porie’s treatment is exponentially less invasive than methods used by the VA. EMDR, prolonged exposure therapy, DBT ect. did not work for me. Doc is extremely compassionate and has no ego. I was treated as an equal from our first meeting. He has never spoke down to me and he does not treat me as just a diagnosis. He treats me as a person and helps me try to fix the core issues of my mental health and not simply treat the symptoms.
