MinuteClinic at CVS

"I went in with chest congestion and explained my symptoms. Was told I had bi-lateral pneumonia and it was extremely bad. Which honestly surprised me and the dramatic way I was told it was pneumonia made me very fearful. I was then told to go elsewhere for xray etc.. and that they wouldn't prescribe me for what I thought was bronchitis. I was still convinced it was bronchitis but hey.. still needed someone to give me a prescription to help me fight it! So I went to convenient md and told that this happens all the time with minute clinic. Guess what? I don't have pneumonia and don't need a chest xray just prednisone & albuterol for... guess what? bronchitis. I understand not wanting to prescribe the wrong thing or to have someone more qualified review but really I just needed someone to prescribe me w/ some simple meds in my opinion. Honestly unless you are just going there for flu shot / covid vaccine etc.. or if you don't know what otc medication to take for a cold or something.. go elsewhere and don't waste your time / money / insurance woes."

"I gave this a 1 star because it would not let me choose 0 my visit to the clinic was disaterous to say the least the nurse that gave me my paperwork gave me the wrong paperwork I had all of another patiience personal information in my hands that brakes hippa laws to start then the nurse sent my prescprition to mail order not the pharmacy I chose 2.5 hours and 6 phone calls I drove 30 minuets back to the clinic on mill st leominster ma to get it fixed and get the prescription Roxanne the nurse thought the whole thing was funny and said why did you not call you did not have to come back apparently she never tried to reach her own work number because it does not happen I would strongly recomend you NEVER go there they can't give you the proper paperwork or hit the correct button to send the script to the correct location how confident are you that they can make a correct medical diagnoses"

"Had a sore throat for 5 days and came to see the nurse practioners at the minute clinic. Both of them argued with me about giving me a strep test saying that my symptons did not score high enough to justify one. She went on to say that it's not fair for the insurance company to have to pay for the test. I have private insurance and pay alot of money for that insurance. I do not recommend this minute clinic at all. She also was sarcastic when I told her my sore throat pain was at a 10. Both practioners were highly unprofessional with terrible bedside manners. I've never had to argue with a medical professional over requesting a strep test."

"If you are really sick, go to a real doctor. The PA’s and NP’s at these minute clinics will not do much, if anything for you. You could be really Jeopardizing your health by seeing them instead of a lan MD who can diagnose you and write the appropriate prescriptions."

"The registration process is confusing. Even though we arrived at 12:30, and there was one person ahead of us who was finished at 12:45, we had to wait until after the 1:00-1:30 lunch break. The delay was likely because we answered "yes" to the question, "Did you hold your place in line?", not realizing that that meant we had pre-registered on -line previosly to arriving. The instructions for online registration were not clear, and even though we had completed the process at 12:45, and thete was no one else here, the practioner made us wait until after the lunch break. I think it should let you know you need to register online and how many minutes before closing this needs to occur."
