"I was a satisfied patient of Laconia Eye, and specifically of Dr. Garfinkle, for at least fifteen years. But when I called recently for another appointment, I was told that they were “not accepting new patients”. I explained that I was not new, but the woman I was speaking with could not find me in their database. She was very pleasant, but I just wasn’t there. I called back later and spoke with a different woman. I explained again and asked if she could double-check because my name is often misspelled. She was irritated by that. When I asked if I could speak directly with Dr. Garfinkle because I was sure he’d remember me, the response was a very brusque “SIR! WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS! *CLICK*”. How do you even deal with being somehow nuked from a database? In defense of the doctors at Laconia Eye, I doubt that they’re even aware of what’s going on at their front desk."

"100% not impressed at all. My daughter needed a new prescription for her glasses. Pretty simple right? Nope. It took 5 trips before Dr Vichon would write a prescription. My daughter just picked up her new glasses and she cannot see anything at all. She can't see more than a foot in front of her because this "doctor " decided to experiment with my child's sight. Guess what? They want us to go back! In the 14 years that we've been dealing with my daughters eyesight, never have we ever had such unprofessional and incompetent people trying to prescribe glasses. It was the only place that took her insurance, so the repeat visits are, I'm certain, to milk the insurance company. I'm definitely calling our insurance company so they don't get paid a dime and we will not be returning. I'll gladly pay the full amount, out of pocket, and go to a QUALIFIED professional that will do their job. The desk staff are horrible as well. Extremely rude. It's just a scam. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This place is a jmcrapshoit. Vichon is not qualified to treat people. She doesn't even listen to her patients. Not everyone is foolish enough to be a guinea pig."

"Every time I need new contacts (3 month supply worth) I am usually told I need an updated prescription- which is always months out for appointment scheduling. I never receive calls/VMs with reminders when the time comes around. They also threaten to say they won’t place my contact order until I get an appointment to update my prescription. This has gone on for roughly 3-4 years, I’m at the point of just buying glasses and going through a different provider to get contacts. Just about every time you call the optical center they do not answer and you’re left with the only option of leaving a VM. The 2 stars is because eventually I receive assistance with this need."

"If I could give a negative rating I would. After years and years of going to this location for eye care we were refused care because the Dr and technician felt it was not necessary after speaking to us on the phone. I am not going to share details on this but let's just say my wife s eye looks horrible and is very uncomfortable. Truly no interest in patient care from Laconia eye and Dr Scott. You should be totally ashamed of yourself"

"I am a young healthy guy who recently suffered a traumatic injury to both eyes causing temporary blindness and incredible pain. Having never experienced such an injury or any eye/vision issues I felt more scared and vulnerable than I ever had in my life. I was referred to the clinic directly from the ER where MD Feller was able to see me on an urgent basis for an extensive examination and treatment guidance. I left that first visit feeling hopeful, also confident knowing I have such a competent and dedicated doctor guiding my recovery. Over the course of a month with many follow up visits and extensive medical guidance I have made a full recovery. Through the compassionate and dedicated efforts of not only MD Feller but also the assistants and office staff of the clinic I am still blessed with my gift of vision today. Never in my life have I been so grateful to a group of medical professionals, my heart truly goes out to each and every one of you. All I can say is thank you so very much to each and every person at the clinic involved in any way with my recovery. Even those who work behind the scene keeping the building so clean and well maintained. I had only ever experienced compassion, patience and kindness from each and every person at Laconia eye and I truly feel so blessed to have had you all in my corner during my (literal) darkest of days."
