Rainbow Playschool

Rainbow Playschool, located at 281 North Barnard Road in Woodstock, Vermont, is a non-profit organization nestled in the foothills of Mt. Tom. Our daycare and preschool services cater to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old, with a strong emphasis on play and outdoor education. Our motto is Play. Learn. Grow.

Established in 1981, Rainbow Playschool has been serving the Woodstock community with childcare services. We are proud to be a four-star state accredited program, operating out of our newly renovated 8,000 square foot net zero building. Each classroom is designed to cater to the unique needs of every child, allowing them to thrive in a large outdoor learning and play area that borders the Marsh Billings National Park.

At Rainbow Playschool, we believe that free play is essential for the healthy development of young children. Through free play, children have the freedom to explore, make choices, and ignite their curiosity, while also learning compassion, building resilience, and stimulating their brains.

Our mission is to provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment that guides the development of the whole child – intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Children are valued and respected as unique individuals, with learning happening through play.
