Reviews of Monadnock Community Hospital: Emergency Room
"This is a super place to go... if you like being medically gaslit by a pompous, condescending, entitled white male who should have his medical license revoked. After several horrendous experiences here, I will only go back if I'm unconscious & have no choice. [I deleted my previous detailed account of our experiences here as I have decided what happened to my infant daughter & then, separately, to me, years later, is none of anyone's business, even if it does give some people pause on whether or not to bother coming here.] Editing again... We did, as it turns out, need to come here in late August 2023. We had a different physician & nurse & support staff & they were all OVERWHELMINGLY professional, kind, & gentle with our youngest."
"I have been to this ER twice. First time I was diagnosed with pancreatis and was admitted. The second time, I had fallen and fractured my wrist. This time I was in and out in 2 hours. Everyone I interacted with from registration, radiology, nurses and the doctors were wonderful. Expand everything and had me patched up and on my way."
"Horrible !!!! From a friend of a patient point of view. Empathy people !!! We worry about our loved ones. And all you worry about is whether I’m wearing my mask ?????? Just let us know you’re listening and give us answers. That’s all. Don’t leave us in waiting room ignoring us. We are people. Have some care. Pretend you’re human and we’re Humans. Don’t threaten me because I just wanted to know what was going on with my friend. And don’t threaten her boy friend because if he comes out to tell me What’s going on that he can’t go back to be with her ?!!! There were 3 people in the waiting room one with heart issues WHO was waiting way Too long. Heart !!! Bring them immediately!!! Probably just cranked that 2.9 rating to maybe a 2.0 sorry not sorry."
"My son who is not even THREE came in last night with a head injury. My husband said the first nurse who had the weigh and take vitals on him was super rude and annoyed my son wouldn’t sit still. When my husband offered a solution she rolled her eyes at him and said I guess that will work. Mind you my son has an egg on his head the size of a whole dollar. So to be upset with a toddler when you’re a working ER nurse is completely unprofessional. Thankfully the nurse practitioner was beyond helpful and sweet and was able to help us figure out he was fine but I’m really upset that in a time of such uncertainty, if my son had brain bleeding or a concussion we weren’t greeted with only cheerful polite people. I understand everyone has a bad day but come on."
"If i could give 0 stars i would. The ER was absolute cr*p. I have never had this bad of an experience. Everyone was extremely rude, from the receptionist to the nurse and doctor. I literally went in for kidney pain, extreme pain from body aches and not being able to go pee. They wanted a urine sample and wouldn’t do any more test but that. I literally told them that i tried and can’t several time. I asked for a different physician bc he wasn’t willing to do anymore test. The new physician wouldn’t see me without the urine sample. They thought i was refusing but i wasn’t. I just couldn’t do it even after drinking a lot of water. I ended up signing out AMA because they wouldn’t do anything to help me. I will never go back to the ER here ever. Update:9/9/22 Got a letter back stating that i refused to do urine sample and that they thought the level of care was appropriate. I do not agree with their letter. I wasn’t refusing, my body literally couldn’t go. I had to go to a different ER that ran more test and treated me better. Level of care was completely different. Suffice to say, i will never go back there again. I rather go to my smaller ER by me than this ER. I never leave reviews, however this was by far the worst experience i have ever had. So keep that in mind, please for your sake."
