Reviews of Barge Canal Market
"Exciting selection of very nice vintage furniture and home goods of all types. A lot of gorgeous mid-century modern pieces. Cool playful atmosphere."
"I'm lucky that Barge is in Burlington and not where I live, because I'd struggle to not spend my paychecks here! Go for the expert curation - from vintage decor to choice clothing and fashion and even local artist pieces. I bought way too much and am going back again before I leave town. Until next time, Barge!"
"We stop in all the time to check out new inventory. Our house is pretty much full of great finds from Barge Canal. Fair prices and beautifully displayed."
"I purchased a beautiful $500 set of wicker patio furniture in great condition on May 27th. The staff was accommodating and friendly, very understanding of the fact that I didn't own a car and would take some time to come pick my set up. I was told I had 8 weeks to pick it up. Less than four weeks later I called them to ask if the set was in a good space to come pick up, when I arrived with my box truck, an employee helped us retrieve the set from storage. Unfortunately the set was significantly scratched up, a lot of the rose colored paint had been scratched off showing the white paint underneath. When we pointed out to our "helper" that the set was damaged his response immediately was to tell us it was our fault for not picking it up sooner. He went on to tell us we waited 6 weeks and things get damaged if they remain unclaimed. He told us we were wrong on our time line, refused to see the damage and spoke to us in a tone of voice so rude I honestly thought he was joking. I will own up to the fact that I had a couple missed calls from them asking about when we were coming to pick up our items. In each call the staffer reminded me I had 8 weeks to pick up my items before forfeiting them. The only redeeming moment in this interaction was his offer for us to return the set. It's a bummer because the set was great, I loved it. In the end it wasn't about the damage, it came down to being spoken to and treated so rudely. I honestly wouldn't stand being treated like that for free, let alone after spending $500 dollars."
"I checked this place out for the first time and fell in love with it. The girl that served us was very helpful with a great personality. They have a lot of things so I suggest you take your time or you might miss some gems. I scored a vintage cape."
