"I had breakfast on opening day. I was blown away by how beautifully the interior is decorated and the furnishings and layout. The staff was super friendly and inviting and the views of downtown are really great. It's going to be really nice to dine on the deck outside when the warmer weather arrives. The food was delicious and plentiful. I ordered the eggs on corned beef hash. Really flavorful. The coffee is outstanding I highly recommend this for breakfast or lunch. You won't be disappointed."
"The dining space is beautiful with lots of natural light and mural wall art. I went once for breakfast and got the French toast souffle loaded with fresh berries, a peanut butter banana smoothie, and an Americano with oat milk. All delicious. I went later the same week for lunch and got black drip coffee with the Harvest Salad and Grilled Marinated Tofu, which was all fantastic. Booths and lots of options for sides makes this place kid-friendly as well. My kids enjoyed their buttered toast, bacon and smoothies. A must-stop destination in Montpelier!"
"I frequent several breakfast spots in the Montpelier/Waterbury area so decide to give this place a try. It was 8:30 am on a Friday so the place was busy. The menu has several interesting items making it not as ordinary as many places around. It’s a cute spot - bigger than it looks from the outside - and nicely decorated. They have a large patio which will be nice when the weather is better. I was solo and seated in a back room. It was cold throughout my stay, even with a sweatshirt. The prices are hefty for the area. You can’t have a full breakfast and get out of there for less than 25-30$ with tip. So it won’t be in my regular rotation. I got one of the cheaper options (no meat) and it was 22$. They do offer a discount for cash. Keep in mind you have to pay for parking during the week. I ordered an omelette after being assured that they actually crack eggs from the shell instead of using the stuff in a carton. (Only one other place around here that I know of uses fresh eggs in omelettes so I don’t normally order that). I took a photo but for some reason google won’t let me post it. It was served with an excellent salad. Very lightly dressed in a very tasty dressing. The omelette itself was unexceptional. I also ordered tea - they have a decent selection and it’s good quality. Ok so pros- atmosphere, menu selection, tea, salad, service. Things I would change - up the room temperature a bit, get rid of the resort prices (given what I had), offer toast with the omelette (even places serving salad most often serve a bread of some sort). Serve the tea not just in a cup. Provide extra hot water. I had to ask twice for more hot water and this is inefficient when the place is busy. Add a guest wifi. The cell signal is spotty at least in the back space. There were a couple of “counter” seating areas I would have been happy to sit at except the counter depth was so small they looked more like coffee-drinking spots - I don’t know how someone would have a full meal there. Ok if you’re just having a pastry. Might want to rethink that if you want to have space for single diners. Service was good even though I was “out of sight”. But it was after the rush. In busier times I suspect there could be some neglect. Especially waiting to pay. They offer an online payment option but as I said they favor cash with their discount. So please don’t disappear as soon as the check is given. People may want to pay cash! I’ll give it one more try to see if a different menu item is more compelling."
"Great views of downtown Montpelier with all the windows. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Food was plentiful and VERY good and amazingly enough so was the coffee. Not sure what they use but not weak or too strong and very flavorful. Everything was reasonably priced and even my 16yo enjoyed her food. Great place to be and very much needed for around here. (I'd disregard the 1 star review with no comment in my opinion.)"
"I’ve eaten there twice, I had a coffee and an omelette when I sat down and overnight oats on their take out menu. The omelette was fantastic I love olives and feta cheese and all that! Only regret is not asking for a fruit cup, will next time. You get a large bottle of water and glasses of ice for each person so you don’t have to ask for water mid meal, the bread is baked there and is a nice firm yet chewy consistency I loved. The omelette was cooked perfectly, no running egg in the center and not crispy brown, just a perfect in between that allowed the fillings to show off the dish. I ordered my coffee black which was more rich than bitter I could tell the beans were high quality. It only took 10 minutes to get my order. When I came in for take out I could walk right up to the bar and order! Greeted by a super friendly face and I was given a great bowl of overnight oats with peanut butter and banana! Great breakfast and for how cheap it was, EVEN CHEAPER IF YOU PAY CASH!!! It was an ideal breakfast that I’ll gladly order again."
