"Came here 15 minutes before “closing” with a child with an ear infection on 12/23/23. I was told to come back tomorrow when they reopen. Do not come here within 1/2 hour of the closing time at least or you will be sent away."
"Ludlow health center is the best! The staff is super nice and my doctor is very compassionate, helpful, and knowledgeable. I always receive great care and it is an ideal experience when you arnt feeling well."
"I had an appointment at 8:00 today. Drive 30 minutes to get their miss and hour of work to find out they have a staff meeting until 9:00. Why would you schedule an appointment when you have a staff meeting? This has happened to me 3 times now. The serve here has declined tremendously and you can never see your primary doctor. I have looked else where no one is taking new patients. This is very frustrating and I guess I’m stuck here. The receptionist are not helpful at all and I usually feel I’m a bother. Something needs to done here."
"My husband was seen today by Brooke Pringle, PAC. He was not feeling well and used the Health Center’s walk-in services. Brooke was outstanding. She listened to our concerns and spent as much time as was necessary to obtain a history, make a diagnosis and explain the treatment. We never felt rushed and felt completely confident in his care. We are not from the area so her ability to gain our trust quickly is really a gift. I work in Healthcare and have a lot of grace with other Healthcare workers because I understand the immense pressure they are under on a daily basis. Brooke far exceeded our expectations. Ludlow Health Center is very fortunate to have a provider like Brooke who demonstrates such outstanding compassion and care. Thank you, Brooke for taking such great care of my husband!"
"I have gone to this clinic since 2018 and at that time, when they actually had physicians, they were wonderful. Over time, they have lost a number of doctors and the care has consistently plummeted and has gotten to the point where we will be looking elsewhere. The receptionists are overworked and it shows. They are growing more and more impatient on the phone and in person, and if you have medication refills, it takes five times longer than the 48 hours they tell you it will take. My primary cary doctor just alerted the office she isn't returning, but they were short on doctors way before this recent event. The nurses are also overworked so I don't blame them. I blame whoever is manager of this office, and if you actually try to speak to that manager and address these issues, all the receptionists tell you is, "we will send him a message you want to talk to him," but will not give you a direct line to reach him. You CANNOT reach anyone directly. The receptionists HAVE to send a message to providers and they will get back to you, or so they say. I am absolutely mortified on how much the service and care here has declined and it is incredibly more frustrating given that where we live in Ludlow, any other physician we would love to switch to in Springfield is no longer accepting new patients. So we're stuck. And that really sucks, because I am 65 and my daughter has special needs, so I feel trapped in a practice that is short staffed, dismissive, rude, and completely overwhelmed. Shame on Springfield Health Care Systems for not addressing a problem that is not just my opinion. Three hour waits to get a RX refill is unacceptable yet someone waited exactly that long today to get exactly that. It's beyond ludicrous. This is not a retail operation where you go elsewhere for better service. It's a "medical facility" that literally has your life in their hands, and quite frankly, I absolutely do not trust my life in "these hands" any longer."
