"Meet, underwhelming. First to someone who hasn’t been here before there is no guidance on protocol. A sign would be exceeding helpful. The protocol is you order and pay at the counter and your food is brought to you. When you’re finished you bus your own table. The prices are high, the harvest salad with kale and chicken was very dry and bland and sadly the chicken was significantly overcooked. The atmosphere is very nice, the bathroom was very clean and there’s plenty of parking."

"Listen, I am here daily. Literally. Great coffee, lots of tasty treats, sweet and savory buns, cookies, cake treats,breakfast sandwiches and lunch that changes on the daily. All fantastic. Best of all, the folks who work there. Bryce, Skylar, Tim, Chloe in the front are a delight. Haymaker does not disappoint."

"Haymaker is a cool spot for lunch, and it's clear that many regulars frequent this place. The staff was incredibly friendly to both Lily, our Australian Shepherd, and us. The food was genuinely delicious. My only minor gripe is that I wasn't too keen on bussing my own table after leaving an 18% tip. Nonetheless, it's still a five-star experience, just a tad disappointing to handle those tasks after tipping."

"I was elated to find a delicious gluten free treat to enjoy with my chai latte! The lunch menu looked great and the food coming out of the kitchen even better. "Whenever I visit Middlebury from the Queen City (Burlington), I make a point to stop by Haymaker Buns. First, their savory and sweet buns are both creative and tasty. It is fun to watch the bakers make their buns nearby and eating these wonderful treats with coffee. Breakfast and lunch offer some great choices to eat, and always filling. Second, I am a big fan of supporting a woman-owned business and their excellent team. Finally, the atmosphere is cozy and has great views of the Otter Creek which it is located next to. This is a go to place when stopping in Middlebury."
