"Stayed in a spacious tent campsite. This served as our base camp for 2 days so we could visit attractions near Stowe, VT. Flush toilets and showers available. Only downside was it was close to highway and we could hear traffic but was quiet at night."
"Hiked to the fire tower a few weeks ago and it was great! We did an out and back on the short, steep trail up and it was definitely a bit tricky with snowshoes but doable."
"We love camping here. Pretty quiet campground with one of the best state park beaches. There's some awesome hiking trails as well. A fun way to spend a weekend or a week!"
"Great place for summer adventures! I always recommend this state park for day trips. Awesome family hiking with great views on Mt. Elmore, and the beach is very clean and not overly crowded like some more popular locations in the state. The campground is very basic, but I didn't expect anything else from a $20/night tent site at a state park. The site itself was clean and secluded. There were a lot of campers but it was quiet. As others have mentioned, this campground would benefit from a playground of some sort for the kids, but at least there is the beach and hiking to keep them busy."
"A local resident recommended this State Park for the best Fall foliage views without the tourist crowds and WOW! This park was amazing, the colors of the trees really popped against the lake. We drove up the dirt road as well to check out some of the hiking that was available. It was mostly empty on a Friday during peak fall season. I would definitely recommend!"
