Reviews of Impulse Nails
"Do not go here. Me and a friend went to get our nails done before Christmas we made an appointment. Our nails at the end were just not what we were looking. My nail polish is completely see through if you put it to the light you can see right through my nail. Also she asked me if I liked my color half way through painting my nails and I just said yes because o did not want to be there any longer.. my friend made it visibly and verbally known she was upset with her nails and they chose to ignore it. Even when she asked if my lady could fix her nail she said “go ask him and he will fix it” and that was the same person who did her nail completely not what she had asked for so my friend said no thank you.. also when I was getting my design the nail tech wanted to take the polish out of the bottle and put A BLOB OF PAINT ON HER OWN FINGER NAIL BARE to dip the design tool in to me was very uncomfortable and not sanitary.. we ended up paying full price (with a generous tip) which is sad they knew we were visibly upset and 2 hours later my nails feel like they are going to snap or break in half very soon. I know it’s around Christmas and they might have felt rushed but they kept taking in walk in people who did not make appointments and didn’t look like they had the staff for. Very disappointed and never will be going back because I feel 85 dollars is a lot of money for someone who was rough, rude and Unsanitary."
"Needed a quick repair, excellent experience! They have a great selection of colors: I'll have to come back for a full-set"
"I've been going here for years and it's always been great for pedicures. I went here today after making an appointment with my friend far in advance. I was taken before her, the whole manicure only lasted 15 minutes. It was extremely rushed. My nails weren't shaped correctly. My natural nails were sawn down for seemingly no reason. The nail polish itself looks sloppy and was not cleaned up. The sides and bottoms of my nails near the cuticles are showing, there's nail polish on my skin around my nails, multiple steps were skipped and I paid $35 plus tip. They didn't soak my nails for long, roughly cut my cuticles, didn't have me wash my hands after and roughly put layers of gel on my nails that wasn't left under the light long enough. I was given a 1 minute hand massage while they were trying to take a walk in and were talking to her instead of me. They then wanted to take my friend after I already had my nails completely finished. We thought since we made an appointment together we would atleast go at the same time if not sit next to each other. It was such a horrible experience we walked out after and my friend got her nails done down the street. To respond back to the owners response below, I took this picture at a nail salon down the road before they fixed my nails and I paid for them to redo them. I have the credit card statement to show that this was Impulse Nails."
"Went and got a pedicure, the polish was put on so thick the nails would not dry despite waiting through a dip manicure while they dried. My tech told me to put my shoes on so I listened and they smudged. I asked them to fix it and they just painted over the smudged polish adding an even thicker coat. They told me I was free to leave immediately after and I asked to please sit under the UV light so that they would not smudge again. Waited 15 minutes under the light, my technician left the salon and drove away and my toes never dried. Leaving the salon unhappy and with nail polish I now have to remove myself before an event that I got them painted for in the first place!"
"Being apart of a bridal party, my aunt gave me and my mother $30 gift cards to get nails done. I called the day before requesting an appointment for 2 full sets. As soon as we stepped in, we were rushed. before we could even say what we wanted done, the nail technicians were drilling our nails. it was obvious that they scheduled appointments on top of each other once people started coming in stating they made appointments. there was clearly not enough employees for all the services requested. not only did the technician rush through my nails, she didn't stop to ask if I liked them until after I washed my hands when she was going to begin the polish to finish them. I also asked when she was cutting them, to cut them shorter because I am a server and to have long nails is inconvenient for me. she said "no, I will cut this nail and it will be fine" I felt very uncomfortable to ask for them shorter because she was going super fast and I didn't want to inconvenience her. my mom on the other hand (black nails pictured) felt very inconvenienced to ask for her nail tech to redo with silver sparkles as she requested because there was another nail tech watching strictly above her, speaking in chinese and going back and forth. both nail techs did not ask once if we liked nail shape or length. as soon as we were done we were not even asked if we liked our nails, just asked to pay. I am completely disappointed in this service."
