Reviews of Mt Mansfield Peak Visitor Center
"This was a moderate hike which will take you to the highest peak of Vermont. The trail is 2.4 mile one way. You have to cross three mountains to reach the peak. It took us 1.5 hrs to finish the trail. Nice view at the top. The weather was chilly and windy so we couldn’t stay for long time at the summit."
"A wonderful hike. It is a moderate to tough. But amazing views to see at each turn. Hiking boots are required. In October, it was chilly and windy. So be prepared ."
"Make sure to bring warm clothing here! We just did the drive on a cloudy and gloomy day. Some parts of the unpaved sharp curve road especially when you reach near the summit are one way and need to give way to other vehicle but you take note that the sides doesn’t have any rails so it is your judgment not to fall is the basis. Lol. Ticket is $32 for car and driver and additional $12 for each passenger. Make sure your breaks are well since some parts have sharp inclination. Avg. inclination is 12%. Beautiful views and some stopver along the way to the top and down. Potty’s are available on summit and on the bldg near the toll gate. Parking is limited here if there are alot of visitors"
"This was such a nice ride up the winding road. Great views! Exceptional staff to answer questions and to help keep visitors off rare plant species. Definitely hike up to the summit accross the boardwalk and up over the boulders. We highly recommend coming for a visit!!!"
"$29 per car/driver and additional $11 per passenger. We went early and didn’t have to wait at all. Toll road to the top was a little scary. Hike to the summit took us about 2 hours. Views were spectacular. Worth it for sure! Not an easy hike though. Very rocky/steep."
