Reviews of Eagles Resort
"Great place in theory. The fireplace saved the experience for me. The kitchen was ok but the rest was in serious need of updating from 1985. Pictures speak a thousand words."
"I've been coming here for nearly 40 years and still love the place. My complaints are with the town and nearby attractions. After all this time, we've pretty much exhausted all the local things to do and we find that there are fewer of them these days. Also, a day trip to Burlington (which still has interesting things to do) is no longer on our schedule as we find the drive just too long at our age (particularly since neither of us is comfortable with highway driving any more). Also, the crime rate has increased over the years. We're considering more exchanges in the future but they'll be closer to home. The units (separate free-standing houses) are clean and well kept. The updated kitchens are nice but I miss the old really long counter. The staff has been reduced (mostly due to COVID-19) and the clubhouse has shorter hours (now closing at 6:00 PM though it used to be 9:00 PM). Regardless, Eagles is still our home away from home and we won't be abandoning it. Hopefully, the town and surrounding areas will have a revival so we'll have more choices for activities."
"We just wrapped up a 3 night stay for our family of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. As mentioned in other reviews, the community was clean, spacious, well kept and quiet. And it seemed every unit was occupied while we were there. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The kitchen came well stocked (minus lids/coverings for left overs) and our kids were pleasantly surprised to find a few water toys at the pool. Having the grocery store close by was really convenient, too. If you are looking for a relaxed place to stay that’s close to many restaurants and attractions, this is one to consider."
"The resort is very nice for a particular type of traveler, small groups that can make use of the three beds. The accommodations outside the bedrooms are not comfortable and have no privacy, and there's this odd situation where someone on the pull-out couch has no access to a bathroom if the bedroom door locks worked, which not a single bathroom or bedroom lock functioned in the entire building. It is only near one town in walking distance. The pool is open for a very short period daily compared to other resorts. The room was well stocked and clean, excepting the outdated entertainment center (small tube TV). For us this was not an issue as a large stock of puzzles and table games were provided next to the wood fireplace. The dry sauna was also nice and clean. Linens were provided copiously. The floorplan on their website is accurate. The staff were friendly. I would still hesitate to recommend even with the positives because of my experience with the futon in the den."
"Excellent place to stay! The condos are very spacious, we comfortably accommodated 8 people. Kitchen has been updated and was adequately stocked to prepare many home cooked meals. For once at a hotel, there were plenty of linens to accommodate all of the extra guests. The game room was a good place to hang out afyer a long day of skiing. The staff in the office were Excellent, incredibly hospitable, happy, and helpful. Only down side is no hot tub on site (although the sauna in the unit was put to good use) but staff helped direct us to one we could use! Truly felt like home for the week! Well done."
