Carry Bay Getaway

"Great house with great location and plenty to do for kids and adults. Fishing-no problem, big fish at your feet and a vast variety. My record was 5lb bass. Kayaking and beautiful sunsets and kayaks are provided. Beautiful and comfortable house right on the water with long eliminated dock, grill, and fire pit. Comfortable sleeping for all. Best 5 nights quality sleep on vacation for us. Pool table and corn holes for extra family activities. Good description of the area with amazing activities. A couple of state parks are just minutes away. The owner is very responsible , and the house is very clean and well maintained . Thank you, George, and Brett for this experience!"

"We had an amazing week last week at Carry Bay Getaway! It was just what we needed! I can be a little over the top about needing a clean house, and this house was SUPER clean! I felt very comfortable there. The house was also very well stocked and had everything we needed. It was also nice to have AC for those humid nights. Lake Champlain/Carry Bay is quite literally at the edge of the house, so the view is incredible. We loved having our breakfast and coffee out on the deck, and then at night, sitting on the dock or deck with a cocktail, watching the sun set. Having the dock and deck really helped us to slow down and just appreciate the beauty of Carry Bay. We also had so much fun using the kayaks, and my son loved fishing off the dock. And while we spent most of our time outside, it was nice to have the option to stream on the TV and fun for my son to be able to play Xbox with my husband here and there. There's a pool table too! I have celiac, so Brett was so sweet to have a basket of local gluten free goodies for me and there was a regular basket for the family. Also great was that there was a list of recommended GF restaurants. We LOVED the regular and GF sandwiches at Hero's Welcome General Store (as well as all the awesome souvenirs), Wally's for bagels and breakfast sandwiches, dinner at the Blue Paddle Bistro and Zulu Bravo (great view!), and we had the most delicious GF and regular pizza at Pan's Pizza to name a few. We also played pickle ball at the local elementary school and took trips to Burlington (such a cool city) and Stowe (the Alchemist Brewery). While we weren't able to rent a pontoon boat due to demand, I would definitely add that to the list of cool activities you can do nearby. Brett and George were lovely to deal with and we would absolutely love to come back some day. Clearly I could go on an on. Thanks so much, Brett and George!"

"Carry Bay Getaway was such an amazing experience! I have personally known the owner for over 30 years. Brett is a thoughtful host, she does an amazing job customizing the home for each guest. The entire house was very clean, spacious, well designed and has new furniture throughout. My favorite part was the sunset off the beautiful back deck. In the backyard this is a large dock with great fishing and you can even kayak in the bay! (Kayaks are provided!) The home is close to many hiking trails, breweries, golf courses, coffee shops, and much more! I would recommend the Carry Bay Getaway to anyone looking to explore beautiful Vermont while staying in a place that feels like home!"

"Carry Bay Getaway is not your typical rental. It is much, much more! It is spotless and so beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is amazing. The owners have thought of everything to make your experience top notch! the homey touches and local products made the stay extra special. The bedding is the highest quality of any rental I have stayed at (I was in the travel business!) There is so much to do and kayaks right in the basement (no charge). The recommendations for restaurants and groceries were spot on. This place is beautiful inside and out. A definte well kept secret. Once you try this place, you will keep coming back because nothing else will beat it. Trust me!"

"We just returned from the most incredible week at Carry Bay Getaway!! This house and location was perfect for our family. The house was clean, comfortable and included all of the amenities we needed for our week long stay with our two kids. The kitchen has everything you need and the living room is comfortable with TV and streaming options for everyone. We spent most of our time outside exploring the beautiful area. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain and the kids ate ice cream on the deck while watching the most unbelievable sunsets each night. They have everything you need to enjoy the beautiful outdoors (fire pit, grill, kayaks, floats)- something for everyone!"
