"It had been quite a while since going there. It was good. Some beloved items weren't seen on the menu anymore. It was relatively convenient location-wise at the time. It was a nice change of pace. A bit more sour cream being included would be a suggestion. There was barely any there when it came out. Profits wouldn't be impacted greatly by doing so. The waiter was OK. It's a nice place, and too bad the original Litchfield, NH location is no longer an option."
"Visiting from NY for the weekend and as we were coming back, we decided to stop by. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was like old diner vibes. The food was also really good! My friend got the ribs (which were definitely worth the hype) and I had the pulled pork quesadillas. Super good and bigger portions than I expected. Definitely should stop by if you want to grab a bite. They even have a rewards program!"
"Shorty’s is fine if it’s bland “Tex-Mex” food that you want. Tex-Mex is a stretch. Service was average. They weren’t that busy, but drinks took a while and we had to ask for the appetizer twice. The guacamole appetizer was bland. It’s in desperate need of salt. They also put lettuce on the bottom so you get less. I ordered a beef burrito. It had the tiniest bit of beef in it, (bland) a lot of rice (bland and over cooked) black beans (bland) and some veggies. Save yourself the tastebuds and go to La Carreta"
"Stopped here for lunch, there was parking available around the building. It has a lively, festive atmosphere with music playing. Service here was good. Wide selection of Tex Mex type food, with an emphasis on Mexican fare. The chips and salsa were good, and the cheese sauce made it better. I got a Shorty's mom chiming, with Chipotle sauce. Others had tacos and enchiladas. They were all very good, and we had plenty of food. It was reasonably priced, I would go back to try this place again."
"Stopped in for lunch. Plenty of free parking was available. Interior is typical Mexican restaurant decor with a full bar. Our complimentary chips and salsa were very tasty with warm tortilla chips and savory salsa... not too spicy. I had the Shorty's Favorite Taco plate, and my wife had the Enchilada plate. Both were very tasty and generous portions. Service was attentive and prompt. Prices are reasonable but not inexpensive. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience."
