Waterhorse Irish Pub 361 Central Street, Franklin, NH 03235

"We moved out of the Franklin area about 4 years ago. However, after dining at the Waterhorse, it makes us want to move back so we can have this restaurant on our doorstep. We went on a Sunday night and things were slow but that's what my husband and I are looking for on a date night. We got beer kegs for an appetizer. They were delish. We also got chicken fingers (they're FRESH chicken with crispy batter) and macaroni and cheese so cheesy that it STRETCHES when you put it on your spoon. We never do dessert but everything was so good, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Our waitress and her manager went out of their way to reconfirm that it contained no nuts, as my husband has an allergy. It, like everything else, was TO DIE FOR. So indulgant but a must try! Even if you're full, take it to go! It's enough for four people. Overall, we are excited to go back and, at least for now, make us regret having ever moved out of Franklin."

"Fantastic date night out on a Saturday. Live music , and great eats. Love the Boxty chicken and the apps. Of Tater kegs! Onion soup was great . Of course the beverages were fantastic!"

"Overpriced Skimped on food - Salad inedible. So my mom and I stopped for lunch. Haven't tried this restaurant in town, so it's next on the list. No one else was eating. The matron / waitress was very kind and attentive, but not overly so. Just right. Kudos to her! Mom ordered a roll-up sandwich with well-done roast beef. I ordered a beet salad and carrot cake for dessert. The carrot cake saved the day, although it was $15. My beet salad was also about $15. For this size salad, you'd expect something large and delicious. The only thing that was large was the vinegar from the dressing. So pungent and sour. I had to take the greens home and rinse them to be edible. There were 4 or 5 SLICES of beets. Canned, I believe. Fresh ones are so much brighter. I kid you not there was the smallest bit of crumbled feta on the salad. No more than 2 teaspoons. In very small chucks. Feta isn't meant to be small, sprinkle, but crumble chunks. The only part I could eat was the beets. I'm not sure what was worth 15$, but if you want a great beet salad, I suggest the Red Blazer in Concord. 2.5 ingredient salad for $15 that's barely edible. I'm not impressed. The desert was 4 layer cake slice. Delicious. I imagine they buy it at a bakery and mark it up. But I don't know for sure. Total bill $51. The salad at Pizza Hut for $6 would've been better. It was clean and bright with high tin ceilings."

"We were a tad nervous to come here, based on online reviews — but we saw lots of people inside so thought we’d give it a shot! Super lovely welcome at the front as we walked in, and we were seated straight away (5.45pm on a Saturday night). We ordered drinks and food shortly thereafter and my friend said her Guinness was one of the best she’s ever had! Food was served quickly — it was hot and looked delicious! Unfortunately, the fries were a bit watery and definitely not “crispy”, but it was a large portion! — my chicken sandwich was full of super fresh ingredients. Our server, Makayla, was lovely and offered to split the check before we even asked."
