"I live nearby and love the Kedron Valley Inn and surrounding property. I'm a New Yorker (L.I.) and have been spoiled by great food especially pizza my entire life. The Ransom Tavern in my opinion is just ok as far as the food and menu. The bar and drinks are very good. They need to shake up and diversify menu a bit. Some creative pizzas a couple good ones but the traditional marinara/Margherita and others with similar ingredients not so good. The sauce is just ok, needs to be more traditional. The menu lacks choices. What is a tavern without a great burger or sandwich? Soup choices? I get it with the pizza oven that's great but add some other options......"
"This is a beautiful and clean place restaurant in the area. They had some music entertainers playing violin and banjo playing while we were there and it gave the place a real country feel. The staff was excellent and we got good service there. We ordered the garden salad, tomato soup and pepperoni pizzas."
"This place is truly a hidden gem. Staff were friendly and following on marking my experience is perfect. I had the Greek Salad and the Gardener Pizza. The wooden pizza tasted delicious and perfect. The salad was decent too. The outside seating at the porch was comfy even on a cold rainy day. Very historic place dated to 1828! Would definitely recommend this place. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time."
"Butternut squash bisque was perfect on a cool evening. Wood fired pizza was light and airy. Cocktails was balanced but robust, wine list was varied. Wonderful playlist on the porch speakers. And the service was phenomenal."
