Dollar General

"I am a frequent shopper of Dollar General stores North of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. And there are both Pros and Cons to teose Store's "remodel". BEFORE THE REMODEL: People could go into the store, know where to find the items they needed, and purchase them. You'd be in and out, and on your way. AFTER THE REMODEL: The store offers a much larger selection of cold and frozen food and drinks (such as lunchmeat, bacon, an assortment of cheeses, dinners, meats, pizzas, veggies, breakfast items, heat and eat sandwiches, ice creams, etc). And they have made better use of the indoor space by changing the shelving layout. BUT Because Corporate sent in their own crew, to "reset" the store, it's made things difficult on both Shoppers and the Store's Employees. Shopping now takes twice as long. And some items are in places that just don't make sense. Not to mention, the store is sent items that they don't need or have space for. This in turn fills their stockrooms with things they'll never sell, and clutters the sales floor (since there's nowhere to put things). This chaos and confusion makes it hard to keep employees working there, and has caused these stores to lose customers. Hopefully their will be some changes made, to keep these stores open and less chaotic for everyone."

"Friendly staff although busy with stocking duties takes time to greet customers ask if they can help find anything willing to see you through the check out process."

"This store has always been a disgrace and always a line of customers at cash out because the employee doesn’t know what they’re doing. Most are polite but many are rude and unprofessional and young inexperienced employees, most aisles are unable to get through and a fire hazard. The manager is always loud and complaining and watch the dates on food and canned goods, they are always expired."

"I used to work there. The store manager Erin Bissonette used to make us all fight against one another. She was a toxic boss. She blamed me and one other person why the store was the way it was. I was the only one who try to keep that place cleaned up. I got fed up I quit on Halloween day. I went in there to get a few things the other day, the aisles were blocked No one couldved fit into the aisles. Not enough help. That location should be shut down for good."

"The store is absolutely disgusting. There are big silver carts all of the store. Almost all of the aisles are blocked off. The floor is dirty. The shelves are dirty. The place is just gross. That blonde manager is a nasty mouthed woman. I do not know what the others are but I would put them in the category as a complete disgrace especially that one who stutters. The girl was in clothes that looked like she slept in them. She smelt like human urine and was as rude as they come. First I purchased food products that when I got home I noticed were out dated since last october. I called the store and no one answered. I took the products and my receipt back the next day and was told by the girl who stutters she was not allowed to to do returns on food. I told her that was not true she said well I am the new manager because the other girl walked out so I say I'm not taking it. That place is a dam joke. It makes you wonder if the owners of this store have ever been here at all. I can almost say they have not."
