"Nothing but the best from the phone application process, to call backs in a timely manner, as well as getting the support as well as legal counsel. Tsylor and Maggie are not only very supportive but willing to go the extra mile to help you in your time of need. Thank you so much 603 legal aid."
"I am giving a 3-star rating because I have not spoke to anyone regarding my issue, which pertains to much needed guardianship for my mother, who has severe mental illness. Upon completing the intake application and submitting it on Friday, October 20, 2023, I did indeed promptly receive an email yesterday, Monday, October 23, 2023 in the early morning that the matter is not in their purview and outside of priorities. And I was then referred to the Modest Means Program, which offers legal services for a reduced fee. What I can say is I just got defeated and thrown into a little depression. What’s true for my late father’s true for me: nothing’s coming easy for me. My mother (god bless her) needs to have a guardian, so I can have the peace of mind of knowing that she’ll be taken care of and not struggle to hold a job because of having little to no mental acuity. And being terminated from 8 of her 9 last jobs due to a psychotic outburst and in one case throwing private property. I cannot even quantify the misery and frustration of having my mother do a rinse-and-repeat of the last month: outbursts, yelling, screaming and lashing out, rage, and on tap of that just destroying our beautiful home in which we grew a family and a story. Every single month. And then just trying to hide her psychotic and schizophrenic behavior from me (and everyone) and act like everything’s okay because God’s going to take care of it all. Which is where the mental illness comes in. It’s been a living hell to deal with. Hopefully I can find a lawyer who will not only sympathize with the situation, but represent me so I can be in and out of the courtroom as quick as possible. I only hope that nobody faces what I have had to face, with my mother for the last 5 months. Stay safe and drive safely out there. #Agent #Everywhere #MindsEye"
"I'm guessing that this organization has been helpful to many, but in my case, they were not. I called due to an issue I was experiencing, and stayed on hold for over 20 minutes. They offered a callback option according to your place in the phone queue, which I opted in for. I was third in line to speak with someone. I never received a call back. I waited all day with my phone by my side so as not to miss the call. Never happened. I'm not sure why, or what happened. Thankfully I was able to resolve the matter on my own. However, when you call a place designed to provide legal aid to those who are in need of advice, the very least you can do is to respond. And that very simple act never happened."
"Been on the phone for 45 minutes and still nothing. I called the next day, they picked up and then hung up on me, they did it twice. I called back a third time and I was 6th in line. I asked to have someone call me back 2 days in a row and no one has called me at all. Stupid company that can't help no one I guess."
"Jeff is awesome. I’ve had a really good experience with him so far, but there’s one woman who answers the phone from time to time, and she is extremely rude, and not very compassionate towards people who don’t understand the law, I have auditory processing disorder, so it’s extremely hard for me to understand verbal things as well as written things, so I need things explained to me a little bit differently. I was advised by Jeff to call him after my court date to let him know what happened with the hearing, so I called and I got her for the first time by the end of the call I hung up and started to immediately cry. She left me feeling more confused, and more upset than I did, in the beginning of the conversation, I spoke to her again today starting off the conversation with I hope it’s not the same lady I spoke to last time. The rest of the conversation was uncomfortable and unhelpful, I was left, feeling let down by the end of the conversation I was told one thing by Jeff (who is awesome and I have no issues with my issue is with this woman), and this lady will not let me speak to him, or get a call back without more documentation of the next court date. The one thing I would ask of 603 legally is to just make sure that your employees have a little bit more compassion because we are going through your avenue for help because clearly its for people who can’t afford a lawyer. A lot of us are in very bad situations with either family or legal things and we need your help, so it would be nice to have the help that not only sympathizes but is friendly and kind towards us as possible. We are all humans and we all deserve compassion."
