Smack Noodle

"Ordered the smack buns, Thai ice tea, spicy salmon sake roll and spicy tonkotsu or tonkatsu ramen…and the smack buns are a must! So yummy! Thai iced tea just as great as any other, the sushi is good for not just a sushi place! However…the ramen was not good…and I don’t think a super fancy one = a good one…it’s just not good, too creamy, too milky and not very ramen-like…I went with two other friends and their ramens were not good either… :( so much so we barely ate it and didn’t want to take it home, I took it home because I hate wasting food but I could barely eat it….sigh there goes my hard earned $….nice vibe and music tho!"

Despite its cozy size and limited seating, the service is swift, and the food is simply delightful. For those looking to indulge in a burst of flavors, I highly recommend the spicy red tonkatsu ramen, Japanese curry rice, and bao buns. Equally enticing were the Udon noodles, miso ramen, and Thai iced tea – all of them were pretty darn good! "Decent for a Quick Fix, but Lacks Authenticity and Flavor Depth. I recently tried the spicy tonkotsu ramen at SnackNoodle, and while it satisfied my hunger, it left much to be desired in terms of authenticity and flavor depth. As a ramen enthusiast, I found the overall experience to be average at best. One of the glaring issues with the dish was the absence of key ingredients and toppings. Traditional tonkotsu ramen usually features bamboo shoots, corn, and a perfectly cooked egg, which add complexity and enhance the overall taste. However, SnackNoodle's version seemed to have skipped these crucial elements. Their decision to exclude these toppings was disappointing and contributed to a lackluster dining experience. Furthermore, the chasu pork in the ramen was a letdown. Instead of the tender, melt-in-your-mouth slices one would expect, it was disappointingly chewy and difficult to enjoy. The texture did not blend well with the other components of the dish, further detracting from the overall harmony. The broth, while decent, was lacking in umami flavor. Tonkotsu ramen is known for its rich, savory broth that's bursting with umami goodness. Unfortunately, SnackNoodle's version fell short in this regard. The broth lacked depth and failed to deliver the satisfying umami experience I was hoping for. On a positive note, if you're in need of a quick fix for your ramen cravings and are simply looking to fill your stomach, SnackNoodle might suffice. It provides a fast option for a hungry day. However, if you're seeking an authentic and memorable ramen experience, I would recommend exploring other establishments in the area. Overall, SnackNoodle's spicy tonkotsu ramen left me wanting more. While it managed to satisfy my hunger, the lack of key ingredients, chewy pork, and underwhelming broth diminished its appeal. Consider it as a convenient option for a quick and basic ramen fix, but don't expect an extraordinary culinary experience."
