Reviews of Camp Quinebarge
"Camp Quinebarge is an exceptional place. Never a shortage of fun things for my kids to do while maintaining a very relaxed vibe. The entire experience is welcoming, inviting and supportive. Even my son who could best be described as "indoorsy" loved his time there. Both my kids haven't taken their hoodies off since they left camp and can't wait to get back. As a teacher, it was super important to me to find a camp that emphasized the social emotional growth of kids, not just keeping them busy with activities. Talk to the camp directors for even a few minutes and you'll know that the wellness and growth of the campers is at the heart of every decision they make. That effort is evident in my kids experience."
"My kiddo is a return camper 5+ years, she has a camp family she's very bonded to! We love it! She can't wait for summer 2024!!! Highly recommend"
"Camp Quinebarge is excellent and I would highly recommend it for kids of any age. My son and daughter have attended for the past two years and will be coming back again in 2024. They had been to other camps in the past, but they found the atmosphere at Camp Quinebarge to be relaxed and welcoming. They joined a wide range of activities but most importantly they formed amazing friendships with the other kids. The counselors are also top notch and made the experience that much better. My kids can’t say enough good things about the camp, and they both want to continue on until they are old enough to be camp counselors. We all can’t wait for another great summer this year!"
"We sent our twin 10 yr old boys to Camp Quinebarge for 2 weeks this past summer. They had been to a 1 week soccer camp the year before, but didn't enjoy it and and wanted to try a traditional camp where there was more to do. We chose Quinebarge because of the variety of options they'd have to choose from, plus the gorgeous setting on Lake Kanasatka made it look like they'd have a great time. Based on our chaotic and time-consuming experience with dropping them off at that soccer camp, we braced ourselves for just as unpleasant of an experience with dropping them off at Quinebarge, but we were blown away by how fast, efficient and simple their process was, in comparison. My husband and I joked as we pulled away that we'd be sticking with Quinebarge in the years to come no matter what the twins thought, just based on the drop off process experience alone! Two weeks later, we picked up the twins and were thrilled to hear all about their experiences at Quinebarge. They talked non-stop on the way home about archery, swimming, being pulled on an inflatable behind a boat, Monkeytown (and all the "money" they had from it), the dance, and the friends they made, whom they had exchanged email addresses with to stay in touch until next summer. It's also worth noting that they both decided to wear their Camp Quinebarge t-shirts for the first day of school. They never dress alike, so the fact that this was an exception speaks volumes about how much they loved it there and couldn't wait to tell all their school friends about it. That told us all we needed to know -- we'll be heading back to Quinebarge again next summer, and probably for may summers to come!"
"Hi!! My name is Ethan and I’m 12 years old. My mom asked me to leave this review for Camp Quinebarge and I am happy to do it. This was my first time away alone to go to overnight camp. It was great and I can’t wait to go back again next year. I made so many new friends and tried a bunch of new activities. The hiking trips were my favorite part especially Mt. Washington!! My mom was super jealous, she likes to hike tuckermans. The counselors are awesome. I loved Kornel & Luke! They were really good. I was a little nervous about the food but it was so good. My mom says I can be very picky and she was nervous I wouldn’t eat much lol. During camp we earned monkeytown money to use at the carnival we had during the time there. It’s like Monopoly money and was super fun to earn and then spend them! I even sent one home to my sister. Archery was fun and I got a bunch of bullseyes. Went tubing on the boat and that was cool. Made a chair in woodshop which I liked doing and I liked doing the sports. Also haven’t taken my Quinebarge beads off. It really was such a great time. I have to say as much as I liked making friends, the counselors were my favorite to hangout with too. I was only going to go for 2 weeks but then I had the chance to go for 4. I’m glad I stayed. I’m getting ready for middle school and it was nice to meet some new friends. I hope they go back next year too. Thanks for a great summer, Ethan T."
