802 Honda Service,

"I have a 2021 CR-V with 24,418 miles on it. The original tires only have about 12,000 to 14,000 miles on them. I change out my summer and winter tires myself. 802 Honda told me they had 4/32nds or a little better tread left on them and that I could get another summer season out of them. Practically down to the wear bars. Not safe for driving in the rain. My wife drives the car mostly and I don't want her to drive it like that. 802 Honda said there was nothing they could do. Original tire on new CR-V's only get about 20,000 miles. 802 Honda said if I had had them rotate and change out my summer and winter tires that they might be able to get me $100 towards another set because it would be documented that I had the tires serviced properly. So I told them you mean if I paid them $150 an hr. to rotate my tires every what 2,000 or 3,000 miles and to take my summer tires off and put my winter tires on that I might get $100 off on another set. They said yes that was the best they could do. I said I wouldn't buy another car from them. Believe me I said a lot more than that. What kind of service is that. Same thing happened on a 2019 GMC Terrain and GM replaced the tires. I'd be careful doing business with 802 Honda! Richard Barnaby"

"Inexperienced, incompetent and uninterested —this is what gives dealerships their bad reputation. When the parts department and service department are uncooperative, staffed by people lacking critical thinking skills, customer service skills, or technical know-how, it tarnishes the brand, in this case Honda. There are better Honda dealerships in the US. This is not one of those. Avoid."

"I brought in a Civic I recently purchased for an inspection and a couple of issues: AC and remote locks weren't working. I suspected, due to the low miles of the car, that the issue was minor, and likely caused by a prior service at another garage. Anyway, the happy ending was that both problems were fixed and total cost was VERY reasonable.. From years of having cars serviced, I know that this is a situation where less competent or honest mechanics would have either not fixed the problem or over charged for a simple fix. Very grateful to 802 Honda for this service."
