Cozy White Mountain Cabin

"We had a great visit! I love how secluded the cabin was. I saw other reviews complaining about seeing a neighbor and a road. I don't get it. There was 1 house down the hill that was 95% blocked by trees (and I was there in late Nov so very little foliage) and that road had 1 car every once in awhile. It was incredibly secluded and we loved the complete privacy! The hot tub was very cloudy on arrival so we sent the owners an email, & someone came out to adjust it for us a few hours later and it was ready for the night time! It was great! We also took time to enjoy the hot tub during the day so we could enjoy the view. The cabin itself was great! I would recommend washing anything before you use it (utensils, cookware, etc) because we saw what looked like mouse droppings in the drawers. It didn't bother us because where we live, we can get the same in the winter but we did make sure to clean everything before use. I brought kitchen supplies and didn't end up needing to use any of them. There is plenty of stuff there. For a cabin, I found the rooms nice and spacious. My son loved playing on the bunk beds. The master bed was really comfortable. We loved all the games that were there. My only wishes for the space would be a more comfortable couch (it's a futon), some updates in the bathroom, & blinds in the main bedroom. Also any time I made tea on the stove top, the smoke detector would go off. Beyond that, this cabin was fantastic. Restaurants, Walmart, Shaw's, Starbucks, all 10 minutes away. Littleton was so fun to explore. Just driving around the area is an attraction in itself. Such a beautiful area and we loved feeling so secluded and having time just to ourselves. We would absolutely return and we'll definitely recommend the cabin to friends. Side note: the website says there is wifi, the house guide says there is not, but we were able to connect to a strong wifi so I'm not sure what to say about the wifi?"

"Nice if you'd like to stay in a private home in the area, and don't mind spending extra. Its not very secluded as it can be seen from the road and there is a house within view a little further down the hill. The cabin was fairly well stocked with spices and coffee, but I'm not sure if it was leftover from previous tenants or if the owners stock it. The fireplace is very nice and so is the hot tub. The place is dated, and there are DVDs and VHS tapes available to watch- most of them work. Additionally there are board games and puzzles. There is a house phone available for use, but it is very staticky and you can't really hear the person on the other line, but it will do in case of an emergency. Do be aware, we were charged $170/night and an $80 cleaning fee at the time of booking, but when we were sent the house manual, they request that you bring your own sheets and pillowcases, all the dishes are done, beds made, trash taken out, etc."

"This isn’t as secluded as it sounded in the description. There’s a fairly busy road in full view of the front of the cabin so front windows, hot tub, etc… are all looking at that and being looked at from that. There’s also a house very close by down the hill. The place is also in need of a bit of maintenance. The bifold bathroom door has obviously been off the rail for a while based on how chewed up the floor is. The rail is completely mangled so someone has tried to fix that but it just needs to be replaced at this point. There’s a good bit of other smaller things all over that are broken, rotting, or in need of some TLC. The price is good for the area so that’s a plus. Officially the owner says to bring toilet paper and everything else. From our experience there’s a lot of leftover things from previous tenants like spices, TP and utensils. We left behind a few roles of TP and spice bottles ourselves. The person before you may clear the place out though so don’t plan on it being well stocked since the owner isn’t responsible for that."

"Not so private or quiet or cozy as claimed. Fine to stay in for a private place if you are in the area"
