"Fred is awesome. You wouldn't know this when meeting him, (he seems much younger) but the guy is 77 years old, has been in the buisness his entire life and knows his stuff. Listen, when it comes to money and blown transmissions, you're not getting out of it cheap no matter who you call. What made Fred stick out to me was his compassion for my situation. I'm a self employed electrician, I NEED my truck. Fred had me back on the road in three days. For a brand new transmission, labor, and a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty I spent 5,550.00. Because of his many connections, he saved me 1,000 dollars compared to other shops that specializes in transmissions. He could easily be reitred right now, but he enjoys helping the community. If you're hesitant, don't be. Call Fred, I'm sure glad I did."

"Not sure why I saw a bad review of this business. Honest, excellent shop, if I lived closer he would get all of my business. Needed a transmission the week of Christmas 2021 these guys could not have been more helpful. Great job at a great price. I saw someone complaining about mark up of parts. You can’t compare cheap parts on the internet with parts mechanics put in your car, Compare apples to apples. "I never leave reviews but my experience here was exceptional. Fred spent a significant amount of time with me diagnosing my problem and offering various alternatives and related warranties. I was able to make a well informed decision that met my needs. A new transmission was ordered and installed in only a couple of days once it came in. The price - with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty - was very fair and reasonable. Fred also identified a bad motor mount that needed to be replaced (that was missed by the dealer only a few weeks before!) and only charged me for the part since it was easy to replace while the transmission was being replaced. He showed me the bad motor mount and am I glad he identified it - it certainly would not have bee safe to continue driving the car that way! I was kept informed throughout the process with no surprises. My 2013 Buick Enclave runs like brand new. I highly recommend White Mountain Transmission and will use them whenever I have transmission problems. Thank you Fred."
