"All the dogs and people you meet are friendly. The park is well kept and clean."
"It's a decent small dog park. If you are familiar with the Valley Street Dog Park in Portland Maine then the Westbrook Dog Park is about ¹/⁷ the size of it."
"Duel areas for big and small dogs, things to climb for both. The runs are made of bark, which is easy to maintain but comes with side effects. My 2 yo lab got some paw pad damage from running too hard on the bark, so if your dog is excited and a bit dumb like Calypso is, it might result in a vet visit and a shame cone. Side note! No on site water, at least from what the other patrons and I could see. Bowls were there though!"
"Not a bad dog park, but not a great one, either. They do have it separated off into 2 sections, but they say "small dogs ONLY" and "big dogs ONLY." I have a large and a small dog, plus my parents' small dog when we visited, so that's a bit confusing for me (obviously my smaller dogs went into the large dog section). I can see how some might like the separation, though, especially if they have timid small dog. There is NO grass in the park, which I found unfortunate, but I suppose helps keep the maintenance low. They have some agility/obstacle course items set up, which is neat, even though my dogs didn't care about them a bit haha. There's also no water spigot, so you need to cart in your own water for your dog(s). Luckily I had some on hand for ours. As far as size goes, it's relatively big for a city park. Definitely large enough for a pack of dogs to go tearing around it, which is what made up for the lack of water and grass."
"The frequent goers are great and if your new say hi. Let them know about yourself and your dog. I have a German Shephard, he's a great dog once he gets in and can play fetch but since he's a large puppy his excitment can be a lot if you haven't met him. I love the dogs and the people that come here."
