Reviews of The Gonic Trails
"Great shorter trail, took us a few hours because we stopped to climb around. Will definitely be back, can't wait until green months!"
"This site suffers from its own success. The trails are wide and trampled down to dirt and roots. I saw - dog poo -trash -graffiti. The road noise and industrial trash truck noise can be heard for the first 8-10 minutes of the hike. The river walk section is the only redeeming feature of this short trail. I can imagine many enjoy the refreshing water during the summer. Over all, not worth the trouble to drive here from away. C-"
"Beautiful river. If you want a longer trail start @ the end of the yellow at the Isinglass Water Access Parking lot farther down the road. 4.4mi total including the red loop. The waterfall is pretty. Super bumpy trail, watch your ankles."
"This is a great place to get out of the city and take a walk in the wilderness. There are marked trails and unmarked trails. You can do 20 minutes, 40 minutes or 90 minutes. Trails go up, they go down, they crisscross. Some are easy, some are not. There's a place where you can go from the blue trail to the red trail by climbing some rocks. Great for dogs, but keep them under control. There are cliffs. This is not a walk in the park. If you want flat and easy, check out the Pickering ponds park. If you want something a little more challenging, this is it. Start with the yellow trails, it is easier than the red and blue trails."
"Gorgeous, dog friendly spot! If You follow the yellow trail you will have water views for the majority of the trip. (But if you stay on yellow the whole trail, keep in mind it is not a perfect loop, you will have to backtrack a bit.)"
