Reviews of Northwood Meadows State Park
"Cross County Skiing - Groomed trails! No corduroy but lots of woodsy, wide, flat, compacted trails. Some up and down but nothing steep unless you go 2 miles in to Old Mountain Road. They don't set track for classic and you may find the compacted base a little too smooth for skate but it's still enjoyable skiing. Also, the elevation is 600+ feet which makes it much higher than the seacoast and 300 feet higher than Concord so the snow cover is often better. I didn't think there was enough walker tracks to spoil the skiing partly because many wear snow-shoes."
"Great place for a short or long walk in the woods"
"We've been going here for years and it's beautiful every season. From summertime hikes, miles of trails to explore, and a winter wonderland to get lost in. It's gorgeous year-round. Hoping the pond gets fixed since it's nearly empty and no longer a family-friendly fishing spot."
"Great place to hike with family including our furry kid the only thing I'd say bad at all about this beautiful place would be the large amount of off leash dogs I use to love bringing my dogs here but in the past couple years some people haven't been keeping their dogs close and it worries me"
"Beautiful landscape, but the larger roads diminish some of the magic of wandering through New England woodlands. Fortunately, there's plenty of side paths and bushwhacking to be had ... take some time to enjoy the creek / small falls right next to the entrance!"
