About Us

Makers Mill is a community makerspace and vocation hub located at 23 Bay Street in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. After years of planning and fundraising, this dream has finally become a reality. Makers Mill is a place where people come together to share and cultivate various crafts, skills, technologies, and arts for personal, professional, and community goals.
The Phase Two planning and fundraising are currently underway, but Phase 1 construction is complete and the space is ready for use. The community came together to purchase a 10,000 sq ft building to serve as the makerspace, and the space was designed based on the needs and goals of the community.
Individual donors, grants, and businesses all contributed to the renovations, and now it's time for the final ingredient - YOU! Makers Mill is ready to welcome you to start making the most of the space. There will be a soft opening in October, and you can sign up for tours to learn about membership opportunities and upcoming classes and events.
Volunteers are still needed to help with sorting tools, building workbenches, and planning programs. If you want to be part of this dream team, let them know! The support from the community has been incredible, with various organizations and individuals contributing to the success of Makers Mill.
The story of Makers Mill began with a community potluck in 2006, and has evolved into a nonprofit organization focused on local food systems, energy conservation, and sustainable community building. Inspired by the global maker movement, Makers Mill aims to be Carroll County's first community makerspace and vocation hub.
With Phase 1 construction complete, the focus is now on outfitting the space with tools and equipment. The Tool Kitty Campaign is underway to help stock the makerspace with the necessary tools for a successful opening. Join Makers Mill in this exciting new chapter and be part of a community dedicated to making, fixing, inventing, and creating together.

"I toured the facility in March and was so impressed, I decided to join as a member. I have been so impressed with connection between shops, people, the skill levels and the sharing. Very supportive!"
"Excellent Makerspace with just about anything you could ever dream of to refine your skills. I love the second floor packed with fine art supplies, mixed media and fiber arts. All the creative energy & kind members create a sharing community we need more of in the world to day. Just a jewel for Carrol County."
"I can't extol the virtues of this place enough! There is so much going on. There are classes/instruction in wood shop, metal shop, fabric arts+++, jewelry and metalsmithing, leather work, Cricut, paper arts, painting, 3D printing, laser printing. That is not a complete list I am sure. It boggles the imagination. And the people! What a wonderful group they have there. I urge you to check it out. Wolfeboro is so lucky to have this amazing place!"
"Great community makerspace with all the tools to do all the projects I need. $65 is a killer deal for all the tools I have access to."
"Awesome spot to learn about various crafts. Extremely friendly people and a clean, cooperative environment. Great for any age."
