"They quoted us $4500 first, then 8k, then they planned their clean up extremely poorly causing them to go over days so when they were done suddenly they wanted $9600. Never going to happen. It would have taken 5 seconds to let us know they went past the quote. They put wet cardboard on my thousand dollar laser, they ruined more than the flood did. Con artists and clowns."

He came out the next day to our rural house, and got us a quote back the following day to submit to insurance. This was on Friday and by the following week we had a team working on cleaning our house, both levels from significant soot damage. I haven't met everyone involved, but have been so impressed by the quality and attention to detail to our home. "We had a septic back-up in our basement which resulted in a flood of the entire thing. This was a first time for us and we were lost in terms of what to do. Service Master professionals came out, assessed the damage, removed all debris, and cleaned up mold from the flood. They worked efficiently but were extremely thorough. They worked with our insurance and provided all the information we needed (as well as insurance) for a very smooth experience in what was a pretty awful experience. 11 out of 10! "On a Friday morning, I asked my neighbor to run over and check my internet router in the basement of our lake-house as the wifi had gone out. They called and told me that there was water up to the third step of our basement!!! Yes, I had 28" of water in the basement, and the entire house had turned into a sauna!!! After I coordinated with my neighbor and contractor to get my water shut off and the basement draining, it dawned on me that I probably needed some professional help. I Googled for "water restoration near me" and ServiceMaster Fire & Water Restoration popped right up first. I placed a call to the number on the website and was immediately connected with a live person (yay!) who genuinely was caring, sympathetic, and immediately helpful. I was immediately given over to Harmony (Project Scheduler) and the care and help continued. Within that day I was connected with Scott (Project Manager) who assured me they'd jump on our project immediately. The next day Scott's team met us, and started the process of mitigating the secondary damage. Within 2 weeks the entire place was demoed and ready to start being repaired. Throughout the entire time, Scott kept me up to date on what was happening and sent me intermediate photos of the progress. When it came time for my wife and me to see the demolition, Scott's bedside manner of preparing us mentally for what we would see was unmatched. Though I hope to never have to use them again, I would not hesitate to if ever in the situation again. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for local-touch-and-feel service. "Service master did an amazing job with water infiltration and was incredibly thorough and treated my personal belongings with extreme care, packing everything away wrapped and boxed while all the flooring had to be torn up. It was a huge job and the foreman and team couldn't have treated my property any better. I'm a critical consumer and also give credit where credit is due. I don't see how any other respondent to this survey could credit them any less. What the did for me was outstanding. It was a complete disaster and their remediation of my horrible situation was perfect....bar none. Every single one of my personal effects were cared for like precious artifacts. All items were wrapped, boxed and stored out of harms way while all the flooring ( which they pulled up and disposed of ) was taken care of. I cannot stress enough how thorough they were and how RELIEVED I am with the result. This was a horrible situation and I'm so glad a dear friend, who happens to be extremely knowledgeable as he is a business man who knows how to get things done. Thank goodness he referred me to Service Master. Mr. Robert Meyers was the team leader and they couldn't have done better."
